Do is a Vietnamese-American fashion designer based in New York City. He graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2014 and worked for several fashion houses, including Derek Lam and Celine.

In 2018, Do launched his label, which has since gained a reputation for its modern and minimalistic approach to luxury womenswear. Do’s designs often feature clean lines, architectural shapes, and unexpected details, reflecting his training in industrial design? He was a finalist for the LVMH Prize in 2019 and 2020 and was named to Forbes‘ 30 Under 30 list for Art and Style in 2020.

Given Do’s popularity and design synergy with Helmut Lang, the announcement has spurred renewed optimism for the brand, whose aesthetic and creative DNA still provides inspiration for designers in 2023.

The brand was owned by Prada Group in 2004 and sold to Fast Retailing in 2006. The eponymous designer left the brand in 2005. Since then, the brand has had a series of creative directors, including Shayne Oliver, who joined the design team in 2017 under the leadership of Isabella Burley. However, while the partnership showed promise, it fizzled out with news of layoffs in 2018.
