Lanvin presented its Spring Summer 2026 collection in Paris, a season that expanded the Maison’s universe under Artistic Director Peter Copping. After grounding his debut collection in Lanvin’s heritage, Copping used this collection to explore and venture outward, reinterpreting Jeanne Lanvin’s timeless codes with his own modern vision.
The collection was full of lightness and tenderness. Chiffon-veiled cabochons softened embellishments, while linings turned outward on tailored jackets revealed the craft behind the garments. Evening gowns were suspended with grosgrain ribbons, delicate yet strong. The same ribbon appeared in men’s evening tops, adding a playful touch. Interiors of dresses and jackets became points of emphasis, echoing Jeanne Lanvin’s obsession with refinement while giving the pieces a contemporary perspective.
Lanvin blue ran through the collection in a spectrum of shades, bringing calm, clarity, and freedom. Bold colors appeared throughout the runway, giving energy to the silhouettes without overwhelming the sense of restraint that defines the house.
Accessories carried forward Copping’s previous innovations. The Compagnon handbag appeared in plush matelassé and inlaid leathers. Sharp pointed pumps and mules were accented with ribbon details. Men’s shoes followed the same precise lines.
This collection balanced heritage and invention. It looked back at Lanvin’s codes while stepping confidently into new ideas. Copping’s vision combined gentleness with exploration, showing that Lanvin’s past can be resignified for the present, and that tradition can be a foundation for creating something fresh.
