Over the last couple of weeks, Virgil Abloh has launched a charitable Off-White collaboration with Daily Paper and Surf Ghana, to aid building Ghana’s first skate park. The 3 names have joined forces and created a clothing capsule. All funds will be dedicated to the construction of the Freedom Skate Park.

Capsule
The 100% cotton capsule consists of 3 T-shirts, a long sleeved T-Shirt and a bucket hat. “Freedom and Skate” are the matching prints to be featured on all of the items in this one off line. With meaning in abundance behind them, these brands & Surf Ghana organization are committed to making skateboarding more accessible, throughout the country.

The Off-White classic “X” design can be seen appearing in the capsule too.. Along with “Product of Ghana” in homage to Ghana’s cocoa harvesting tradition. Also where the imagery was shot, at the Tetteh Quashie Cocoa Farm in Mampon, Ghana.
Launch
The collection was launched globally after much speculation and demand, when the plans were originally unveiled in December. It initially started off in the Daily Paper’s pop up in Ghana, but got dropped on a much bigger scale. (Those that Virgil is more used to). It seems that Abloh is now using his powerful figure in the fashion industry, to make an impact & change. No matter how small or big the cause.

The capsule launched earlier this month, via the Daily Paper’s webstore, with all proceeds going towards the Freedom Skate Park in Accra, Ghana.
