Peek Inside A Celebrity Makeup Artist Kit!

The relationship between a celebrity and their makeup artist is a sacred one. One of great trust, understanding and the ability to create magic every single time.

Celebrity makeup artists are also pro at knowing what is best for their client. For example, which product suits their skin, the latest techniques, and trends.

That said, wouldn’t it be amazing to know exactly what products an actual celebrity makeup artist loves using on their clients?

Well, it’s your lucky day!

Meet Celebrity Makeup Artist, Joy Adenuga

Joy Adenuga is a London-based makeup artist, beauty expert and educator. The multi- award winning beauty heavyweight has worked on various campaigns and with many celebrities. To name just a few, Adenuga has worked with Michaela Coel, Sarah-Jane Crawford and Keisha Buchannan. Furthermore, her work has been featured on ITV, Cosmopolitan, Glamour and The Sunday Times.

It is fair to say that Joy’s experience and skill set has been recognised on a large scale and a peek into her makeup kit would be truly exciting!

What’s in Joy’s makeup artist kit?

If working on a shoot, Joy enjoys using the AJ Crimson Artist Kit Foundation Palette,£149.00. A small and light palette, it is the perfect product for carrying in her kit. Interestingly, the product is so versatile that makeup artists use it as a concealer, highlight and contour as well!

Powder products:

Joy likes using the Marena Beaute Blush Tarou, £23.20, exclusively developed for those with a darker skin complexion. As well as this, it is easy to blend and with a velvety consistency, this blush is perfect for all skin tones. In fact, the Marena Beaute Tarou Bronzer, £36, is also a favourite. A lightweight, highly pigmented powder bronzer with a matte finish. Also suitable for a variety of skin tones.

For eyeshadow, Joy uses the OPV Beauty Palette, £27. Each palette has a range of shades, from neutral to bright making it kit friendly!

In fact, Joy happens to use it as a mask on very dry skin. She leaves it on the skin for a few minutes before wiping it off, the skin prepped and ready for a flawless look.

Joy describes the next product as the most multi-use product in her kit. The Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream, £28, is perfect as a moisturiser, lip balm and even hair frizz tamer! Truly a product that needs to be in every makeup bag/kit.
