Bohaty, a skincare brand that was launched by Keisha Tessa, is centered around the idea that not all skincare is for everyone and touches the hearts of consumers who resonate with the brand identity and products.
The ingredients chosen for each product are made with intention. served for a purpose. Bohaty stands out from the crowd of beauty brands and doesn’t follow trends, but instead creates them.
From toners, serums, cleansers, shampoos, conditioners, to polishes, Bohaty is redefining the beauty industry, bringing purpose back to skincare. I was able to interview the founder of Bohaty, Keisha Tessa:

Style Cartel: What inspired you to create Bohaty?
Keisha: Bohaty was born from a gap I could not ignore. Luxury beauty has mastered aesthetics, but often neglects identity. It celebrates the surface while overlooking the foundation of who we are. I wanted to create a brand that honors both. At its core, Bohaty is rooted in the belief that we are made in God’s image. That truth reframes beauty. It removes insecurity and replaces it with intention. It transforms care into something purposeful. This was never about creating another skincare line. It was about building a standard rooted in discipline, self respect, and alignment.
Style Cartel: Bohaty emphasizes that it is “not created for everyone.” How did that philosophy shape the brand from its earliest stages?
Keisha: From inception, Bohaty was built with clarity, not compromise. We made a conscious decision not to pursue mass appeal. That choice informed everything, from formulation to pricing to brand voice. We do not follow trends, and we do not dilute the message to be more accessible. Exclusivity, for us, is about alignment. Bohaty is for the individual who recognizes quality, values intention, and is committed to elevation. If it resonates, it resonates deeply.
Style Cartel: The language around Bohaty is very intentional, words like refined, disciplined, and precision stand out. What does “disciplined care” mean to you in the context of beauty?

Keisha: Disciplined care is the intersection of consistency and intention. It is the decision to invest in what truly serves you, repeatedly and without distraction. In an industry driven by trends and instant results, disciplined care requires restraint, patience, and precision. It means choosing products based on function, not noise. It means respecting your skin and hair as something valuable, not something to constantly fix. Ultimately, it reflects a mindset. The same discipline that shapes a strong life shapes how you care for yourself.
Style Cartel: Every formula is described as serving a purpose. How do you define purpose when developing a product, and what does that process look like behind the scenes?
Keisha: Purpose is non negotiable. Every product begins with a clear assignment. If it does not address a real need with precision, it does not move forward, regardless of market demand. Our process is deliberate. Ingredients are selected for performance, not popularity. Formulations are built for long term results, not temporary effect. Products are refined until they meet a standard, not a deadline. In Bohaty, nothing exists without reason. Every formula earns its place.
Style Cartel: Bohaty states, “We do not follow standards. We set them.” What existing standards in the beauty industry were you most intentional about challenging or redefining?
Keisha: The industry often prioritizes perception over substance. Luxury is frequently reduced to packaging and positioning, while formulation and integrity take a secondary role. That is a standard we refuse to accept. Bohaty challenges performative luxury without depth, trend driven formulations lacking intention, and messaging rooted in insecurity rather than identity. We are not interested in fitting into the existing landscape. We are focused on redefining it.
Style Cartel: What role does storytelling play in how you communicate Bohaty to your audience?

Keisha: Storytelling is foundational. Bohaty is not simply about what you apply. It is about what you embody. The narrative centers on transformation. The discipline behind consistent care. The shift from consumption to intention. The alignment between identity and action. The story creates meaning. It allows the product to become part of something greater than itself.
Style Cartel: In positioning Bohaty as intentional and selective, how do you define your ideal customer, and what do you hope they feel when they engage with your brand?
Keisha: Our customer is defined by mindset, not demographics. They are intentional, discerning, and value quality over excess. They understand that elevation is a practice, not a moment. They are not searching for quick fixes. They are building a standard for themselves. When they engage with Bohaty, the experience should feel aligned, refined, elevated, and deeply intentional.
Style Cartel: Looking ahead, how do you envision Bohaty evolving while staying true to its core philosophy of precision and purpose?
