Here I am on my way to the Lana hotel in the Business Bay area of Dubai. It’s 6:15 PM, and I have an appointment at their renowned restaurant, High Society. Excitement builds as I worry about the timing; I especially don’t want to miss the sunset there, as I know it’s going to be incredible. If a place could be likened to paradise, this would be it. I take the elevator up to the 30th floor, and here I am at the summit, at High Society with its incredible terrace and huge pools overlooking all of Dubai.
Everything here is sumptuous, from the outdoor bar to the terrace furniture, all in shades of blue and azure, to the chic yet comfortable indoor restaurant. It feels like being in the living room of Capri house. High Society is an elegant place where dressing up is appropriate. For my part, I wore a cream-colored silk dress with heels and my vintage Celine necklace. It’s also necessary to have a reservation to come and admire one of the most beautiful skylines in Dubai. I went there at sunset, and it’s truly superb to watch the night gently fall over Dubai.
I had a few bites with a glass of champagne, what a joy to find Ruinart there—for someone who is a real champagne enthusiast like me, it was a treat. My friend chose a cocktail that also seemed well worth the detour. Regarding the bites, the vitello tonnato was the highlight of the experience. It arrives in a majestic fashion under a glass dome with smoke, which is impressive. The fish carpaccio was also delicious.
The atmosphere is pleasant because High Society aims to be a place with background music yet where you can talk with your companions, which is really appreciable since there are many places where the music is too loud to enjoy the art of conversation.
In summary, High Society is a place I have visited several times and hold in particular affection. I recommend it to anyone who wants a beautiful break from time with a breathtaking view in Dubai. Whether for a drink at the end of the day or an elegant dinner, High Society offers an experience that transcends usual expectations and leaves a lasting impression.
