Her style is described as taking a play on feminine nostalgia with downtown edge. Gap and Liangs’s collection embodies a style that is both playful and wearable with a cross-generational appeal.

Liang is a New York based designer. Her inspiration comes from her childhood memories and New York neighborhood experiences. Her niche is outerwear and ready to wear design for the mass population of consumers.
The Forefront of Fashion
Sandy’s collaboration with Gap will reimagine timeless Gap pieces like bow-adorned denim to instantly iconic outerwear. Gap hopes that this collaboration will make the brand relevant and the forefront of fashion. Sandy describes that , “Growing up, Gap was the pinnacle of fashion”. Liang is so appreciative that she gets to co-create with the iconic brand.

To bring the collaboration into fruition there was a short film made by Annie Choi . It depicts a young Liang as she imagines a world of possibility through creativity.

I feel like this collaboration will be the best of both worlds and ideas. From seeing the collection I feel like it is geared towards young adults who want to have fun, but I also feel that older women and men could rock a cool denim outfit from this collection as well.
