Edward Enninful’s Last British Vogue Cover And His Greatest Hits

What a way to leave a party. Let’s sit back and look at Edward Enninful’s Last British Vogue Cover And His Greatest Hits, like when we used to love to buy our favourite mags because of the cover. The March 2024 issue features a crowd of women, including Oprah Winfrey, Victoria Beckham, Serena Williams, Dua Lipa, and more, shot by Steven Meisel. It sums up Fashion, Pop Culture, Sports and Politics on one page.

Edward Enninful’s Last British Vogue Cover

Edward Enninful’s milkshake is better than yours because he brought all the girls to the yard. For his final cover as editor-in-chief of British Vogue, he tapped 40 women, all of whom had previously graced the magazine’s cover during Enninful’s tenure. Dressed in black and white, they pose together like old gal pals – or sisters from another mother – like a family reunion shoot by Steven Meisel.

When Edward Enninful became editor in chief of British Vogue in August 2017, he made history as the first man and the first Black person to lead the century-old glossy publication. He arrived with a significant amount of good will within the fashion industry along with the burden of high expectations. British Vogue was known for its substantial prose, its upper-crust lineage and its mostly White staff and cover models.

The group includes models and celebrities, including Oprah Winfrey, Serena Williams, Victoria Beckham, Dua Lipa, Salma Hayek, Miley Cyrus, Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington.

There are highlights with Selma Hayek’s, François-Henri Pinault’s wife poses with the French billionaire’s former partner Evangelista, while Winfrey and Jane Fonda are pictured walking arm-in-arm. Meanwhile, in another shot, Moss, Beckham and Turlington stand together dressed in white.

“When it came to my final issue as editor, it was impossible for me to choose one person for the cover who personifies not only Vogue but the world we live in today,” Enninful said in an interview.

“It became obvious very quickly that we needed to represent inclusivity beyond fashion and celebrate the community of women who helped shape the culture, so I gathered 40 women who have graced the cover of British Vogue during my editorship.”

He added that choosing the cover stars every month has always been based on “gut feeling and listening to what’s happening in the world,” this cover was no different.

Enninful added that the final issue is a taster of what’s to come in his new role as global creative and cultural adviser at Vogue and editorial adviser at British Vogue.

He will continue contributing to the Vogue brand globally in his new global role. Enninful will also resume work on broader creative projects that he put on pause when he joined the magazine as editor in August 2017. Enninful signed with William Morris Endeavor in November last year, commonly known as WME.

The talent agency’s roster of clients includes Pharrell Williams, Selena Gomez, Jeremy Strong, Donald Glover and Olivia Rodrigo.

Do you think he forgot anyone?
