Dubai, UAE, 3 February 2025: Day Two of Dubai Fashion Week (DFW) was a resounding success, bringing a diverse range of talent to the forefront. The collaborative showcase by the New York Institute of Fashion and the London School of Trends highlighted emerging designers, while Paolo Sebastian marked the first Australian brand to grace the DFW runway. Weinsanto presented a captivating fusion of Parisian chic and cultural heritage, followed by Antoine Kareh‘s poetic exploration of light and shadow. The day culminated in Velvety Couture‘s stunning homage to Zaha Hadid’s architectural genius. DFW, the region’s leading fashion event, runs at Dubai Design District (d3) until 6 February. The event is co-founded by d3, part of TECOM Group PJSC, and the Arab Fashion Council.

The “Launchpad” presentation, a collaboration between the New York Institute of Fashion (NIF Global) and the London School of Trends (LST), showcased the incredible talent of emerging Indian designers. Marking the first Australian brand to showcase at DFW, Paolo Sebastian’s invite-only presentation was a dream come true for fashion enthusiasts. His Autumn/Winter collection embodied romantic elegance, featuring dreamy silhouettes, ethereal illusion tulle, and fairytale-inspired details.

WEINSANTO

DFW Member Victor Weinsanto, presented by Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode (FHCM), captivated the audience with ‘Cauchemar in the Kitchen’. This collection, a blend of Maxim’s restaurant motifs and Art Nouveau-inspired embroidery, showcased Weinsanto’s signature Parisian sophistication.

ANTOINE KAREH

Antoine Kareh’s ‘The Guardian Shadow’ collection was a poetic exploration of the interplay of light and darkness. Through masterful contrasts and fluid silhouettes, Kareh brought a sense of realism and vitality to his couture creations.

VELVETY COUTURE
