The Bally RTW Fall 2023 Runway Report is here, and the collection has a little salsa and accessories that real people need in their lives. Creative director Rhuigi Villaseñor is creating the brand’s fashion collections with his bold sense of style. The collection is rich with colours of Fall, prints and staple pieces.
Bally RTW Fall 2023
The Bally RTW Fall 2023 Runway show was held at Milan’s Casa degli Atellani, the 15th-century townhouse home to Leonardo Da Vinci’s vineyard, which fit the richness of the garments coming down the runway—the only existing wine-producing estate, and decorated with masterpieces on the decor of the walls.
“This is a stunning location; what better place to show a collection that respects history with a twist?” Bally creative director Rhuigi Villaseñor said backstage. That twist, however, needs to be “an exclamation mark,” argued the designer, who is building Bally’s fashion collections with his bold sense of style.
We saw vital luxury streetwear pieces paired with silent luxury ready-to-wear pieces. The creative director presented several snakeskin trenches and faux-fur coats in vibrant colours, from burgundy to purple. An oversized parka in velvet with large bows for a lady to make an entrance and stand out from the crowd at any holiday party.
Fall 2023 Runway Report
Villaseñor’s woman for Bally is sensual without too much fuss. Cue Irina Shayk in a long velvet dress with cutouts. She looked sensational. The brand’s name was spelt out in gold over a strap on the back. These metallic details popped up here and there, as did gold buttons on a double-breasted jacket, for example.
While mainly monochromatic, the looks were often worn with printed silk scarves around the neck. The foulards also appeared as details on the structured bags.
Villaseñor knew how to stay true to Bally’s DNA accessories business — footwear in particular — and the category did not disappoint, with many thigh boots in several leathers and colours. Men’s pin-striped suits were jazzed up with knee-high boots, adding the genderless appeal of today.
