Not a dull moment at Milan Fashion Week with Attico X Nike. Gilda Ambrosio and Giorgia Tordini turning heartbreaks into love and seduction mixed with a dash of sportswear, and the courteousness of Nike. The Attico, known for its iconic cargo jeans, has a highly anticipated Nike collaboration in the pipeline, as hinted by their Spring/Summer 2025 presentation.
The Attico X Nike
The Attico’s show was exactly what Milan Fashion was craving: sensual fashion with a sprinkle of eccentricity, inclusive casting, a simple yet impactful set-up and a sprinkle of Nike collaboration on top. Their collection was giving me sexy mermaid vibes and skater-girl inspiration.

The Attico and Nike Break Hearts of Sneakerheads with Addition collection, called “The Sound of Breaking Glass,” examinations of the fragility of a broken heart and features a sophomore Nike partnership. With their sophomore runway show, designers Gilda Ambrosio and Giorgia Tordini, who built their cult brand out of women’s aspiration to be fabulous and part of the cool clique — like them — added the missing component to the picture-perfect aesthetic they’ve been building since 2016: vulnerability.
The creative directors of The Attico, Giorgia Tordini and Gilda Ambrosio, both recently went through heartbreak. For their Spring/Summer 2025 show at Milan Fashion Week, they translated this experience into a collection which explores strength in fragility.

Into the Cool-Girl Clique
The design team thought of it as “It’s a metaphor.” We wanted to explore the feelings of fragility this season. This arose from a very personal story, that both of us have been through at the same time —heartbreak.

Models walked to the evocative lyrics of Michelle Gurevich’s “Party Girl,” the likes of Vittoria Ceretti, Irina Shayk and Amelia Gray strutted down the runway in a collection that played on the brand’s duality between high-octane seduction and daytime casual, daring partywear and sexy sportswear.
With sparkly beaded tops, sensual lace frocks and asymmetric minidresses rendered in metallic hues had a distressed feel, their fringed textures and embroideries intentionally falling apart. The undone attitude was reinforced in looks with skirts barely hanging from vintage corsetry and lingerie juxtaposed with oversized leather biker jackets, hoodies, anoraks and roomy track pants, which injected edge into the lineup.

Sports bras, leotards and sneakers teased the second chapter of The Attico’s collaboration with Nike after a cobranded Nike Cortez style was released over the summer. A barely-there dress covered in crystal fringe and a crystal cobweb layered on black underwear were also hard to miss and winked to the differently shaped chandeliers hanging down the ceiling of the industrial venue.

Usually, heartbreak is something that women in fashion don’t like to talk about, they talk about strength. But, this is also a message of strength, fragility and strength can co-exist in the same story. We decided to place the show in this brutalist location, which is not a venue we’d usually show in. Fragility also arises in the collection with transparent fabrics which communicate the transparency of our feelings.”
For their Milan Fashion Week collection called “The Sound of Breaking Glass,” the creative duo presented a journey of contrasts. The show venue was decorated with colourful chandeliers and lamps while sounds of breaking glass shot through the speakers. As for the garments, bold sensuality shines through sheer fabrics, figure-hugging silhouettes, intricate embroidery and feathered headpieces.
The colour palette features muted, time-worn shades with a single vibrant red accent. Additionally, the SS25 showcase debuted the brand’s first everyday bag, “La Passeggiata,” available for purchase immediately following the show.
This season, The Attico also experimented with a masculine edge through durable materials like nylon, oversized cargo pants and bomber jackets, drawing inspiration from athleisure wear. Their journey into sportswear was brought to life through a sophomore partnership with Nike.
Tordini stated, “We mixed in sportswear this season to tap into the masculine side which is one side of our woman which is always there. This partnership with Nike is just the starting point. We added a few pieces like Shox and ready-to-wear. We treated them like the rest of the collection to make them look old. More to come with Nike!”
The label’s Milan Fashion Week show was graced with a delightful mix of Nike apparel and sneakers, marrying Nike’s sporty aesthetic and The Attico’s signature sexy-chic edge. Nike sports bras and bodysuits in faded colourways were paired with either sheer skirts or, in some cases, just an oversized jacket for a “no pants” vibe. Another ensemble saw undergarment-style bottoms with baggy track-worthy trousers.
