As a New Yorker living in Europe, I have faced a major beauty dilemma. Back home, finding a nail salon is easy. One exists on every corner. You can get a decent mani-pedi in minutes. Yet, in Paris and London, finding someone trustworthy is hard. Nails here are also not cheap. I even had one salon experience that was a total disaster. My nail art chipped almost instantly. The broken nails were so frustrating. Sometimes I feel like they hear my accent. They think, let’s charge her ridiculously.
