Skate or Die Woodbury House x Marylou x Nicce Skate Decks Launch

I have always lived a skate or die lifestyle. Which made me think about getting a new skateboard. The launch of the limited edition skate decks created by London based female French illustrator Marylou Faure was such a vibe. The feminist vibe of the collaboration with Woodbury House and Nicce streetwear is epic and fit with our feminist ethos.

Marylou Faure has worked with Nike, Google and Levis, to name a few. She made illustrations for the private art studio Woodbury House for some cool pink skate decks. Which are a part of an exclusive collaboration with casual-wear street style brand Nicce, which launched this year.

Specialising in character design, bold colours and graphic compositions, the female Illustrator aspires to create artwork that invokes joy with her cheeky and playful style. With the intention of tackling the issues she cares about, Marylou’s career has seen her working on many personal and collaborative projects with global brands that focus on social and ethical issues.

Skate or Die Life

The skate decks come in 3 designs that showcase prints that reference the female form and are in Marylou’s traditional bold, bright, and colourful palette. Marylou’s female-centred illustrations are all about empowerment and are taken from her recent Artbook published by Counter Print Books. On Sneaker Freak Friday, I decided to style my look to match the female empowerment paired with my pink Nike Air Force 1 Shadows.
