Runway Report: MM6 Maison Margiela Spring 2025

The Runway Report: MM6 Maison Margiela Spring 2025 reminds me of when and why I fell in love with the brand. The cast alone makes us want to hit the gym to be ready for a hot girl summer with your man fitted in some MM6 Maison Margiela Spring 2025. The house takes casual wear to the next level and brings back the distressed denim looks. MM6 Maison Margiela’s Wardrobe Staples for Spring 2025 are soaked in White Paint.

Runway Report: MM6 Maison Margiela Spring 2025

The creative team went on an 80s-inspired hot, sweaty summer work and mixed it with a circa 2002 wardrobe. The house focused on garments and wardrobe archetypes that speak to their core audience. Another trend we see in Fashion of brands tapping into it’s core audience and listening to what the people want.

The MM6 Maison Margiela’s silhouette for spring, and summer tapes into the sultriness of rave culture. We loved the bare wet chests most male models flaunted underneath tailored blazers and the sleek legs striding energetically from under ripped strapless minidresses worn with tall belts by the women. The collection pushes staying fit and allows you to show off your cuts and a nice ass.

Models bopped down the runway to heavy techno music on a vast, concrete runway space, the collection unfolded rhythmically as if these were young ravers leaving the club with their enveloping sunglasses and flip-flops on an exhaustingly hot summer night, circa 2002. Do you remember those days, dancing until the sum came up and breaking not it jeans you had been wearing for 3 days?

MM6 Maison Margiela Drip

MM6 Maison Margiela’s show started with more relatable and current pieces, a khaki trenchcoat, patchwork jeans and a blazer, a shawl-collared tuxedo frock and sleek waistcoats layered under formal blazers. Then evolved into wardrobe staples: the heavily ripped jeans, the sleeveless overshirt and a slew of luxuriously distressed leather outerwear pieces.

Martin Margiela echoed in the DIY feeling of the overpainted, elongated blazers and biker jackets or Dr Martens boots, drenching in layers of crackled white paint that provided a vintage feel. We saw a baby blue plastic bag draped on the torso and the plastic-covered shaft dresses — it was all about style and how you wear it. The jackets and vest are the standout pieces a Martin Margiela addict will covet for years.
