It is Spring and it’s the bunny season. Great way to celebrate Spring with a cute collaboration with PIERRE HARDY x Shinsuke Kawahara and the Drop Is Hot! The collaboration between Pierre Hardy and Shinsuke Kawahara, whose work is based on free-hand calligraphy and personified by drawings of rabbits, began in Winter 2020 and continues this season.

While the Japanese artist’s first handmade designs were one-offs, his charmingly naive black-and-white motifs are now screen-printed on leather. Shinsuke’s sketches differ from one foot to the other, from a STREETLIFE sneaker trainer to a 104 sneaker or a CROSS RIDER sandal. These mischievous drawings can also be seen on the CAMERA BOX bag.
These are so cute for a city stroll or a walk in the park. Happy to be outside shoes have an entirely new meaning. Casual cool and preppie city kids will love this collaboration with bags and keychains to match the footwear.

When discussing Shinsuke’s work, Pierre recounts his unique personality. “I like Shinsuke’s work because it is the opposite of mine: narrative, figurative, dreamlike, very artisanal and spontaneous. And then I am passionate about Japan. The idea of these two universes meeting, that should not have crossed with each other, is appealing to me. In these confined times, we have found a way to travel towards each other.”
