Explore the beauty of Phuket’s top beaches with our guide. From sunrise to sunset, these stunning destinations offer the perfect blend of adventure and unwinding! Discover why these beaches are our favorites and make the most of your getaway in Phuket.
1. Karon beach
Karon Beach in Phuket, a chill oasis with golden sands and magical sunsets. It is less crowded than other beaches. I enjoyed my peaceful moments journaling, eating mangoes, and capturing stunning content with sunset views. Whether you’re seeking solitude or calm beach, Karon Beach offers a memorable experience for those looking to unwind and connect with nature.
2. Freedom Beach
Freedom Beach in Phuket, should really be called adventure beach. This is my favorite beach requiring a fun hike through jungle paths. Choose between the easy route for 100 baht or the free challenging trek for a unique experience. I’ve done both but once you get down there you will see that it is paradise. Once you reach this hidden paradise, enjoy meeting other travelers or drinking coconuts and eating grilled sweet corn with serene views. You can also leave the beach by longtail boat for 400 baht. I’ve actually had a great time on the beach meeting other tourists on vacation and my one iconic story about a Khazistanian man who would pop up behind me like IT in the ocean while I was swimming lol! There was another day where it rained a tropical storm and there was another tourist helping back up the stairs. We went up the mountain with a truck (100baht fee per person) but let me tell you the truck had no hood and so we were getting soaked and trying to hold on for dear life going back up the mountain haha. Great times are made in Freedom Beach!
3. Phi Phi Long beach
Technically not in Phuket but on the brightside there’s a ferry speed boat that brings you there in 1-2 hours for 450-500 baht. It is definitely worth it. Phi Phi Long beach attracts with it’s pristine sands, clear water and lots of fish and corals for snorkeling, making it a must-visit destination. I explored the snorkeling spots with colorful fish and corals. This was definitely one of my favorite memories. It isn’t a super crowded beach. I know some fellow travelers hated the long tail boats but I loved them. I felt they added much more depth to my photos and experience. Also, you can hop on them to head to Phi Phi town or snorkeling. If I were you I would consider staying overnight at one of the charming resorts to fully experience in the beauty and serenity of Phi Phi Islands. They also throw night beach parties!
@nejilka I love a good beach day 🥹
