Adidas and Yohji Yamamoto have collaborated again for Y-3’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection, exploring the concept of Contra-Natural, where the duality between organic and synthetic produces unexpected beauty. The collection features a bold, collection-wide color palette, including Clay Brown, Mesa, Shadow Red, and Mint, inspired by the process of oxidation.
The apparel selection features daring cuts, sophisticated tailored garments, and expressive silhouettes, highlighted by a digitally distorted floral graphic and reimagined takes on the iconic adidas Superstar Tracksuit featuring topographical map piping.
The footwear selection includes new silhouettes, such as the Y-3 STAN SMITH and the Y-3 COUNTRY, made up in collapsable premium leather with piped details, and the Y-3 GSG9 LOW. The collection also includes highly adaptable accessories, such as soft leather tote bags and nylon backpacks. Y-3 Spring/Summer 2024 subverts expectations through bold and daring contrasts.
