The Spring/Summer ‘25 Schedule

NYFW Spring Summer 2025 is right around the corner, and with that arrives an initial schedule release by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). Our 6-day venture of fashion fun begins on Friday, September 6th and comes to a close on Wednesday, September 11th. With NYC being the host of the most thrilling fashion week in America, an array of 60 presentations, runways, and collections prepare to showcase their designs.

Before NYFW SS 25 starts, Ralph Lauren and Proenza Schouler will showcase their collections on Sept. 5th and 4th respectively, with the former being held in the East Hamptons. At 10 AM Friday, the shows officially kickoff with John Varvatos, a rock-n-roll rooted menswear brand that returns to the runway after a near 6-year break. To close everything out will be Melitta Baumeister, winner of the 2023 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund.

In between is a diverse selection of returning and established names, such as Libertine, Brandon Maxwell, Carolina Herrera, Collina Strada, Diotima, Eckhaus Latta, Alice + Olivia, Coach, Ulla Johnson, Tory Burch, LaQuan Smith, Khaite, & COS. Missing from the usual schedule are Helmut Lang, Ffrome, Altuzarra, and Gabriela Hearst.

WHO’S NEW?

When it comes to first-times, many emerging and international brands have been added to the schedule. Ib Kamara, creative director of Off-White, brings the brand to NYC. When asked about this exciting step by Vogue, Kamara had the following sentiment to say:

“It feels natural to grow and show where so much of the community around the brand is. I think it will be amazing and feel great for Off-White to show for the first time in the city.” […] “It’s common ground—a melting pot where everybody is equal.”

TOTEME’s sleek garments of sophistication, Ronald van der Kemp’s punkish couture, and Alaïa’s it-girl spirit will also travel overseas to arrive in the Big Apple.

But NYFW isn’t all about the known. Emerging designers also grace the schedule, bringing a curious wave of wonder to their digital and runway shows. Brands include Salon 1884, Grace Ling, Advisry, Campillo, Wiederhoeft, Kate Barton, and Jane Wade.

Are You Ready?

When asked about New York City’s impact on the American fashion scene by WWD, the Director of Fashion Week Initiatives at CFDA, Joseph Maglieri, had this to say:

“NYFW remains the home base for showcasing the best of American fashion. This season boasts a powerful lineup of established and emerging brands experimenting with forward-thinking ways of presenting their collections. The CFDA is taking additional action to strengthen an already robust week, addressing calls for improvements across logistics and strategy to benefit both brands and attendees. We are proud of the September schedule, which represents the designers, brand leaders, communications and media teams, show producers, casting directors, and more who make the week a reality.”
