Matthew M. Williams has previously released a series of AF1 luxurious high tops in 8 colourways for the 1017-ALYX-9SM NIKE AF1 HIGH series, starting with the 1017-ALYX-9SM runway show at Paris Fashion Week in January 2020. For the ALYX AF1 Low, from the toebox to the quarters and collar liner, the entirety of the build is constructed of ultra-premium sail leather. Signature detail is served by 1017 alyx 9sm ’s lighter cap details, and a 1017 ALYX 9SM spell out is stamped on the lateral heel for an extra touch of branding, working in tandem with special lace locks that state
“1017” (right foot) and “9SM” (left foot). Down below, crisp black or white midsoles and outsoles serve up a tonal style to finalize the look.
From crisp leather overlays to an air-cushioned midsole and star-studded pivot circle tread, the beauty of this AF1 lies in refined details and simplicity. While staying true to the roots of the OG, the Alyx edition elevates the design with premium tumbled leather, gleaming metal eyelets and lace dubraes- co-branded details that further highlight this powerful pairing.
On this occasion, 1017 ALYX 9SM is setting up a pop-up space at Selfridges London, for a limited time, dedicated to the new NIKE AF1 collaboration presented along the Alyx collection opening on Saturday 9th. The AF1 will be exclusively available at Selfridges London ( 1st floor ) from the 9th of December and on alyxstudio.com from the 7th of December.
