The Milanese Touch: Milan FW25 Trends

Milan FW25 runways were alive with a distinct Italian flair, emphasizing craftsmanship, luxury, and a deep connection to the natural world. Here are the key trends that defined MFW 2025.

First, belts were important.  Cinched silhouettes took center stage, with belts playing a crucial role in defining each piece. Designers used belts to create hourglass figures, add an edge to oversized garments, and even to layer over outerwear. The materials ranged from classic leather to more unexpected options like faux fur or drawstring belts, ensuring there was a belted look for every style.

Next, fur appeared in many ways. It added richness and warmth to designs. Fur was used on coats, collars, and as trim on accessories. Both real and faux fur were seen.

Earthy tones were a major color choice. Browns, greens, and beiges were common. These colors brought a natural feel to the clothes. They often paired with rich fabrics like silk and wool.

Finally, fringe added movement. It was used on jackets, trousers, and dresses. The fringe in Milan was often made of high-quality materials and placed carefully. It added a touch of playfulness but stayed refined.
