The brand Sean John was one of the pioneering streetwear brands of the 90s. Puffy won a CFDA award for his Sean John label back in 2004 making history for streetwear. In this time P. Diddy was in his prime at the time and almost everything he touched turned to gold.

Sean Combs aka P.Diddy has started the process of buying his Sean John out of bankruptcy. Combs sold a majority stake of Sean John to Global Brands Group in 2016. Recently Global Brands Group who owns 90 per cent of the brand has filed for bankruptcy, and according to Bloomberg, Combs has placed a $3.3 million dollar bid to acquire the brand’s assets.
The Sean John Come Back
This decision comes after Combs sued Global Brands Group for $25 million back in February 2021, for using his likeness without permission in connection with a Sean John x Missguided women’s collaboration.
