Pride is about many things. For example, celebrating individuality, sexual diversity and the history of the LGBTQIA+ community.
That said, staying true to their commitment to celebrate inclusivity and challenge unrealistic beauty standards, Savage X Fenty have announced its first Pride capsule collection.
The brand has chosen to celebrate the diversity within the LGBTQIA+ community, championing diversity across the board. In fact, photographer, Quil Lemons shot each style on members of the community.
Lemons is a Brooklyn-based, African American photographer. Interestingly, the 23-year-old photographer became the youngest photographer to shoot a cover for Vanity Fair. Through his work, he aims to represent each community he feels connected to. Touching upon themes such as queerness, masculinity and race, there seems like no better fit for this Pride campaign.
Rihanna herself said: “Pride is all about appreciating your authentic self. I am very excited about this collection and showing love and support to the LGBTQIA+ community, which includes so many of our customers, team members and fans.”
