For Spring 2025, PatBo creative director Patricia Bonaldi centred her inspiration around a singular theme: metamorphosis. The designer created a variety of glamorous interpretations of butterflies, representing her “evolution and transformation as a designer,”.

Before the show, the brand teased the collection on their Instagram with a swarm of butterflies flying out of a New York subway station. It was so inspiring because butterflies are amazing creatures. The house showed us everyone can up her game in a seductive dress.

To kick things off, Alessandra Ambrosio graced the runway in a strapless mini-dress featuring a black-and-white butterfly decal and a white bubble skirt. The colour scheme of the first look continues the brand’s story of Fall 2024, for which the majority of designs fell on the grayscale.

The collection hit on the transparent trend sprinkled with a little denim and too many red carpet looks to choose from. The designer catered for a collection that was inclusive of all shapes and sizes of today’s women.
Bonaldi’s work hinged on craftsmanship: She covered denim in precisely placed crystals and fashioned dresses out of hundreds of thin sheets of metal for an ASMR-worthy runway experience. Each butterfly throughout the collection laid perfectly on its model.
“The handwork that we do, the beads, is the highlight of the show,”. “I think if you see it in person, you’ll understand.
