KidSuper Spring 2026 Menswear

The KidSuper Spring 2026 Menswear show was pure magic. It echoed the Paris trend of returning to boyhood. I felt a surge of childhood memories. The show embraced a charming Peter Pan Syndrome.

Why do American designers like to show in Paris?

Paris offers a global stage for designers. It brings prestige and international exposure. The city is a fashion capital. American designers gain wider recognition here.

Why is this exciting fashion news at Paris Fashion Week?

KidSuper brings fresh energy to Paris. Colm Dillane defies fashion norms. His storytelling captivates the audience. This collection is truly innovative.

The Boy Who Jumped the Moon Comes Alive

Colm Dillane, KidSuper’s visionary, created a true spectacle. He wrote an illustrated children’s book. “The Boy Who Jumped the Moon” inspired the show. It’s an allegory of his journey. A little kid with big dreams makes them real. At the end of the show, he encouraged us to take the book and share it with a special little gentleman in our lives. I am the rich auntie, so I grabbed two!

The show set was three giant storybooks. Models emerged from advent calendar-like doors. Craig Ferguson narrated the story. Dillane himself voiced “The Boy.” It was complex choreography. The technical issues were immense. Yet, the show went off beautifully.

A Short History of the Brand

KidSuper is Colm Dillane’s brainchild. It started as a T-shirt brand. It quickly evolved into a full fashion house. The brand is known for its playful, artistic spirit. Dillane consistently merges art with fashion.

Books as Fashion Objects

The collection expanded on past ideas. His “Letter Suit” and “Letter Bag” reappeared. Dillane emphasised “securing a KidSuper concept.” He explored storytelling through clothing. Books as fashion objects were innovatively explored.

The audience, including me, filmed the show. It was ironic given the print theme. The tailoring-led collection impressed. It featured illustrations from Dillane’s book. Book bags were abundant and stylish. Pants and shirts mimicked novels. They had intense cursive and scribbles. Paper hats and pencil accessories appeared. These pieces referenced Dillane’s past work. They dedicated chapters to painting and puppets. An embossed leather overcoat was handsome. Mario Balotelli closed the show. This reflected Dillane’s passion for soccer.

The venue was buzzing with American pop culture stars. Rappers like 2Chainz and French Montana attended. The crowd was enthusiastic and vibey. The post-show party celebrated the collection. Dillane left wondering, “What am I going to do next?” A KidSuper reality show could work. His anti-exclusive fashion statement shines. His open collaborations are inspiring. This includes Mercedes-Benz and Papa John’s. More mainstream exposure awaits him. This could truly take him to the moon.
