This year instead of going on vacation after fashion weeks, we chose to stay local and enjoy the FRIEZE LONDON & FRIEZE MASTERS 2022. As newbies to the art fair, we have the pleasure of educating, reviewing and sharing our points of view on the art world today. People assume that people in Fashion are into art or know about art.

But, unfortunately, this is not always the case; art fairs like this are to enlighten, educate and inspire. Unfortunately, many fairs have become photo opportunities and social media content creation landscapes. These can all be pros & cons; however, whatever your opinion, keep bringing art!
As a brown lifestyle journalist with a B.F.A., I enjoyed the weekend surrounded by arts and culture. My highlights from Frieze Masters & Frieze London are at your fingertip.

We had the opportunity to see Picasso’s, Harring’s, Basquiat’s and Saint Phalle’s up close. Which brought back memories of life growing up in the N.Y.C. fashion and art scene. I went to art school in N.Y.C., then to Paris for my master’s. Where pieces from Niki de Saint Phalle were next to The Centre Pompidou.
The Centre Pompidou houses the Musée National d’Art Moderne, Europe’s largest museum for modern art. Also located in the vast open interior is the Bibliothèque Publique d’information, a substantial public library and a center for music and acoustic research known as IRCAM.
