Denzilpatrick SS24 Come Home Darling!

The Denzilpatrick SS24  “Come Home Darling!” is inspired by the idea of traveling for love, sanctuary, trade, and leisure to find the “centre of our world”.

“We all travel for love, for sanctuary, for trade, for leisure. Across skies and oceans, streets and parks to find the “centre of our world”. What will we need to take on the journey? When will we know we have arrived? When can you put your suitcases away, because you need travel no more? You are home.”

Denzilpatrick envisions how dressing for such a journey can evolve, taking the wardrobe from epic migrations to small passages through the city. The collection draws inspiration from the novel “The Lonely Londoners” by Samuel Selvon, portraying newly arrived men-about-town in double-breasted jackets and matching vests in sentimental tones of putty and sienna.

As these voyagers try to find a new “home”, the collection evolves into a wardrobe inspired by park visits and beach trips prepared for the British weather, with rain hoods and rolled-up hems. The collection celebrates with vibrant colors influenced by Caribbean-British designer Althea McNish, with classic outerwear adorned with carnival embroidery and tropical-colored thermal underwear.

Collection graphics act as souvenirs to these voyages, featuring ocean liner crests and local taxi-cab business cards, all proclaiming the Denzilpatrick slogan that “London belongs to me”. The collection reflects the brand’s identity of celebrating the journey of finding home through bold colors and sentimental tones.
