Beneath the grand glass dome of the Grand Palais, Chanel unveiled its FW25 Ready-to-Wear collection for Paris Fashion Week, a mesmerizing exploration of proportions, layering, and illusion, presented by the Creation Studio.
Designed by scenographer Willo Perron, the setting reflected a theatre of dreamlike illusions, with an installation of a black ribbon as a monumental backdrop, that dances over the floor while soaring into the air.

The collection revisits some of the most cherished Chanel signature elements, such as the ribbon, the pearl, the bow and the camellia flower. In every size, bows blossom over the cuffs and collars of dresses and blouses, accumulate on necklaces and down to the ankles of a dazzling black down jacket and suit pants ensemble.
Other voluminous or openwork bows highlight cardigans, sweaters and dresses. Therefore, spirited illusions of scale dominate the collection. Heels are made of a single pearl, a cross-body bag gives the impression of an oversized pearl necklace, and maximalist rhinestones adorned the set of jewels.

For the Chanel FW25 collection, the art of layering took centre stage in ensembles that played with dimensions and textures. For example, a grenadine tweed three-piece outfit—comprising a micro-jacket, wrap skirt, and flared trousers, was lined with a flash of red silk, adding vibrancy to the trompe l’oeil effect.
An effortless blend of contrast and balance is seen throughout the collection, with pastel tones, black and white compelled in dresses and tweed ensembles. Through this transparency, the lines of the silhouette are superimposed and create movement. Chanel’s dedication to craftsmanship shone through in the collection’s delicate details.
Furthermore, chiffon jeans imitated denim’s rugged charm, while silk was woven to mimic the texture of tweed. Ribbon motifs floated across prints, reinforcing the theme of movement. In addition, a hooded black organza parka, adorned with bows, embodied the fusion of fantasy and modernity.
The poetic elegance extended to accessories and footwear. Sock-ankle boots, removable ruff collars, and trench coats crafted from black wool lace and faux fur added romantic flourishes. In addition, black sweaters were adorned with three-dimensional petal plastrons, recalling delicate floral embroidery.
