Acne Studios and Kappa Score Big with SS25 Collaboration

Get ready to witness a seismic shift in your wardrobe. Indeed, Acne Studios, that powerhouse of cutting-edge design, has teamed up with the legendary Italian sportswear brand Kappa to drop a Spring/Summer 2025 capsule collection that’s guaranteed to turn heads. This isn’t your average collaboration; it’s a meticulously crafted fusion of technical sportswear and Acne Studios’ unmistakable luxury sensibility.

In fact, this 22-piece collection isn’t just about slapping logos on existing garments. It’s a thoughtful reimagining of classic pieces, designed to inject a dose of high-fashion energy into everyday wear. To illustrate, think of it as taking the items every fashionista knows and loves and reinventing them as versatile staples for everyone’s wardrobe.

Collaboration Made in Heaven

So, what’s the secret ingredient that makes this collaboration so electrifying? It’s Acne Studios’ Creative Director, Jonny Johansson’s long-standing appreciation for Kappa’s rebellious spirit. It is a key element that makes this collection resonate far beyond the “it girl” crowd.

“I have always loved Kappa. Rebels wear Kappa, which appeals to me – it’s sportswear for the cool kids,” Johansson states.

Where Sportswear Meets High Fashion

This unexpected pairing isn’t just a fleeting trend; it’s a natural synergy. “In a world where the lines between classic workwear, streetwear, ready-to-wear and sportswear are blurred, it feels totally natural for Acne Studios to collaborate with Kappa on a collection that represents a modern way of dressing,” he adds.

Acne Studios has consistently been a trailblazer, dictating rather than following fashion trends. With football-inspired silhouettes and motifs frequently appearing in their previous collections. They have played a significant role in the rise of streetwear and football fashion. This Kappa collaboration arrives at the perfect moment. Not only reinventing recent trends but also to challenge conventional notions of which aesthetics “own” these must-have items.

This collaboration with Kappa elevates that exploration. Resulting in a capsule that skillfully merges traditional sportswear codes with iconic Acne Studios silhouettes.

This collection doesn’t whisper; it shouts its intentions. The key pieces are where the energy truly ignites. Imagine this: flame-printed football jerseys in that unmistakable Acne Studios pink, where the Kappa and Acne Studios logos lock horns in a high-impact visual clash. Suddenly, pale-wash denim and tracksuit pants are injected with adrenaline, thanks to Kappa’s iconic logo taping that streaks down the legs. Even the humble second-skin T-shirt, reminiscent of a footballer’s base layer, is elevated to something sleek and powerful. The Bowlina bag, fresh from Acne Studios’ SS25 runway, gets a fierce makeover with the flame motif and those covetable dual logos. And to seal the deal? A range of football-inspired accessories, from a logo-emblazoned baseball cap to sneakers and knee-high socks. All designed to amplify the collection’s dynamic spirit.

The Star of the Show

Whilst fashion has never been on his radar, the British record producer and musical icon, Tricky has quickly adapted to being not just a model, but star of a campaign. Tricky established himself as a ’90s icon through being a trailblazer of the now classic trip-hop genre.

“Tricky’s music has had a real impact on my life. I’ve been a fan for a long time, and it just made sense to work with him for this project.” – Jonny Johansson.

Despite growing up outside the fashion world, Tricky has always had a distinct style, making him the perfect embodiment of the collection’s retro allure. From vintage pieces to sportswear. This collection is a rejuvenation of the fashion Tricky already knows and loves. And whilst its an unconventional route to establishing himself as a fashion idol, we hope there is a lot more to come.

Where to Shop

The new collection launched on acnestudios.com on March 27th. It will also be available in Acne Studios stores worldwide from April 3rd.
