Philipp Plein Spring/Summer 2027: A Maximalist Milan Show

PHILIPP PLEIN DOESN’T DO SUBTLE

For Spring/Summer 2027, Philipp Plein doubled down on the glamour, attitude and embellishment that define his label. The collection moved between polished tailoring and streetwear, with pastel double breasted suits, varsity jackets and loose fitting denim setting the tone for menswear.

The womenswear brought a more extravagant energy, from satin suits and camel coats with gold buttons to ombré fur coats and minidresses covered in colourful crystal flowers. Denim was anything but basic, with gold palm tree motifs and heart embellishments adding a playful touch.

There was plenty of variety in the silhouettes, but the collection remained firmly rooted in Plein’s world of statement dressing. Sharp tailoring met relaxed sportswear, while sparkle and embellishment transformed familiar pieces into something more distinctive.

The runway presentation was equally theatrical, with monster trucks and stunt riders sharing the stage with the models at Milan’s hippodrome. It was an extravagant setting for a collection that embraces fashion as entertainment.

The verdict? Plein delivered a collection that knows exactly what it is: bold, embellished and unapologetically glamorous, with enough contrast between tailoring, streetwear and eveningwear to keep things interesting.
