PANDORA ON THE PAVEMENT: JEWELLERY REIMAGINED AT COPENHAGEN FASHION WEEK AW’26

If you think you know Pandora, think again. Forget the classic bracelet. During Copenhagen Fashion Week (CPHFW) AW’26, the Danish powerhouse officially proved that jewellery is not just an accessory—it is an architectural extension of the soul.

Pandora took its commitment to emerging talent to a hauntingly beautiful level this season by partnering with Danish designer Anne Sofie Madsen. As the headline partner of the CPHFW NEWTALENT program, Pandora worked with Madsen and co-designer Caroline Clante to create bespoke pieces that felt like living memories.

Titled “Ghostly Matters,” Madsen’s collection drew inspiration from a lost future. Pandora’s signature chains, links, and charms were not just placed on wrists; they were sculpted into the very fabric of the garments. Veiled in tulle, the architectural jewellery played between presence and disappearance, reinforcing themes of materiality and memory.

Why Copenhagen is Currently Dominating the Map

Copenhagen has officially solidified its status as the “fifth fashion capital”. But why is everyone trading the Grand Palais for the cobblestones of Denmark?

  • Sustainability with Teeth: CPHFW is the first major fashion week to implement strict sustainability requirements. Brands must meet 19 mandatory minimum standards to show on the official schedule.
  • The NEWTALENT Incubator: Through programs like CPHFW NEWTALENT presented by Pandora, the city provides financial grants and year-round mentorship. This turns “new voices” into global powerhouses like Ganni and Cecilie Bahnsen.
  • Intimacy Over Exclusivity: Unlike the intimidating air of Paris or Milan, Copenhagen feels unpretentious and accessible.

The Medium of Creative Expression

Pandora’s presence wasn’t limited to the runway. The brand also hosted the CPHFW NEWTALENT showroom at CIFF on January 28 and 29. This showroom introduced international buyers to a selection of the boldest Nordic designers. Pandora’s role as a patron—providing financial bursaries and support—reaffirms jewellery as a storyteller at the crossroads of fashion and design.

The Future is Nordic

Copenhagen Fashion Week AW’26 celebrated its 20th anniversary by looking forward. By fusing high-end upcycling with innovative brand partnerships like Pandora, the city is proving that ethics and aesthetics are the ultimate power couple.
