A Stylish Holiday Tradition
As the holiday season approaches, there’s no better way to wind down the year than indulging in a festive afternoon tea with your best friends. At Rosewood London’s Mirror Room, the experience transcends tradition, merging culinary excellence with artistic expression. The Festive Art Afternoon Tea: The John Booth Collection is a feast for the eyes and the palate, offering a unique take on a quintessential British pastime. This year the girlies and I dressed up and enjoyed our annual tradition here.

A Taste of History: Afternoon Tea Traditions
Afternoon tea has been a cherished tradition since the 19th century when Anna, the Duchess of Bedford, introduced the concept to bridge the gap between lunch and dinner. Today, it’s a social ritual enjoyed globally, featuring finger sandwiches, scones, and sweet delights.
Pro tip: When enjoying your scones, remember to split them gently with your hands, not a knife. Then layer with clotted cream first, followed by jam—or jam first if you prefer the Cornish way!
