It’s with great excitement that I am reporting the incredible red carpet fashion of the 2023 Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City! This year theme is completely different from what we’ve already seen. The designers will have to design a look inspired by another designer’s design, Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty. The museum is paying tribute to the late genius designer who sadly past away in 2019.
Lagerfeld worked for several top fashion houses such as Chloé, Balmain, Fendi, Chanel until his death just to name a few. He also created his eponymous brand in 1984. The designer is known for his signature look. White hair, black sunglasses, fingerless gloves, and high, starched, collars! He’s one of the most influential figures in fashion.
The Met Gala is the biggest fashion event where we can witness the numberless incredible looks year after year. The red carpet is attended by A-list celebrities and also royalty like in 2005 when Caroline Princess of Hanover was a chair of the Met Gala. This year Michaela Coel, Penélope Cruz, Roger Federer, Dua Lipa, and Anna Wintour are serving as the evening’s co-chairs. Let’s jump into the best and worst looks.
