HEAT was founded by Sophia Lie in 2018 as Scandinavia’s first full-spectrum infrared sauna lounge. In downtown Stockholm. HEAT was founded by Norwegian model Sophia Lie as an antidote to a stressful and hectic lifestyle. HEAT offers private, full-spectrum infrared sauna, compression therapy, LED light therapy and LPG massage.

After a decade in the fashion and beauty industry, the constant travelling and intense schedule had started to take its toll on her. Sophia found out that well-being is more than just eating healthy and exercising regularly, and soon infrared sauna therapy became a fundamental part of her recovery routine.

The body – as well as the mind – needs to recover and detox properly. This is precisely what I was looking for on my recovery holiday adventure. My body and the medical world have been making me depressed when I look at it. I see that it’s not recovering fast enough for me. 

So if you follow us, you know I have been working on getting My Body Back by trying out different Lymphatic Treatments. At our sessions at HEAT, we booked the LPG Massage + LED Mask for 60 min, IR Sauna for 30 min and the Compression Therapy + Cryo Facial for 10 min. So our Sunday afternoon was booked and busy. 

HEAT utilizes full spectrum infrared light in combination with medical grade, built-in LED light therapy. A session at HEAT works in-depth and generates a genuine, unique boost that relaxes, recharges and reenergizes both mind and body.

LPG Massage

LPG is a mechanical tissue and lymphatic drainage massage that naturally sculpts the face and body. We were placed in the hands of their lovely therapists. Our experience was fun; we learned about treatments while creating enjoyable creative content. In addition, they blessed us with Heat merchandise in mint green which I loved. I wanted to get something mint green before we left because it seemed like the colour of Stockholm. It reminded me of a present from my aunt when she returned from the city many moons ago. 

The Heat LPG machines employ a combination of vacuum suction and rollers to soften tissue, causing the release of excess fluids and toxins. Once released, these are naturally expelled from the body through the lymphatic system. I was booked in for the Sculpt & Glow with the Ultimate Duo Infrared sauna + LPG. I was a bit scared when I walked into the room until they gave me a cute body stocking in mint green. At least I’ll look cute while healing my swollen body.

LPG treatment is the ideal complement to your next infrared sauna session. Maximize your results by eliminating water retention, kickstarting circulation, reducing the appearance of cellulite and boosting your skin’s glow. When undergoing the treatment, my thighs felt tight, and I felt the machine more than the other areas. The lovely therapists told me that my thighs were holding onto water.

The lymphatic drainage massage motivated me to get back to the gym and eat better. Looking at my body made me converse with myself to have more willpower. Yet, be caring and listen to my body. I want to also detox all the pain medication out of my life. It’s also highly relaxing–which is why so many clients fall asleep mid-session, and I did too!

Infrared sauna

Could I stan the eat for 30 minutes? HEAT has one of Sweden’s first full-spectrum infrared saunas; infrared therapy is core to HEAT’s service DNA.
