The wait is over for fashion enthusiasts! London-based brand Self-Portrait has unveiled a sneak peek of its highly anticipated Residency collection, designed by none other than Christopher Kane. This innovative collection, part of Self-Portrait’s new Residency programme, blends Kane’s signature style with a modern twist.

Carine Roitfeld Stars in Teaser Images for Self-Portrait

The campaign, featuring fashion icon Carine Roitfeld, offers a first look at the collection through striking images shot by Larissa Hofmann in Roitfeld’s Parisian home. These teaser images showcase Kane’s reinterpretation of his celebrated SS07 debut collection, featuring standout designs such as crystal chainmail, soft lace ruffles, and satin dresses with bias cuts and intricate lace panels.

But there’s more: Tonight, at 8 PM GMT, the Residency collection will officially be available for purchase at self-portrait.com, as well as at self-portrait’s flagship stores in Mayfair and Chelsea, and select luxury retailers like Harvey Nichols, Bloomingdale’s, Selfridges, and Club21.

To celebrate the launch, Han Chong (self-portrait’s founder and Creative Director) and Christopher Kane will host an immersive event at Alva Coachworks in London, where attendees can witness a live campaign shoot, bringing the collection to life in a dynamic and real-world setting.

Speaking about the collaboration, Kane shared, “Working with Han on this inaugural self-portrait Residency has been a joyful and inspiring experience. The self-portrait Residency programme is a groundbreaking initiative by Han Chong, aimed at fostering collaboration and individuality within the fashion industry.
