Notably, the name choice, Spanish for “my bag,” captures the intimate and personal connection the brand wants customers to have with its pieces. 

Mi Bolsa London is a family matter.

Indeed, sibling duo Mikayla and Alex Doo co-founded Mi Bolsa London, and the brand is the product of a multicultural and creative upbringing. Their complementary skills shape the brand’s identity. For instance, Mikayla, an Oxford-educated mathematician and former Morgan Stanley analyst, provides sharp business acumen. Meanwhile, Alex, who graduated from the University of the Arts London, drives the creative vision with a Gen-Z lens of individuality.

“That blend—analytical thinking paired with creative purpose—is what makes the brand feel grounded and expressive at the same time. It allows us to create collections that are both aesthetically refined and thoughtfully built.”  The founders explain. 

Furthermore, the brand built its philosophy on core pillars that guide every decision.  “Accessible luxury ensures our pieces are thoughtfully priced,” the brand states. “Transparency means we work closely with ethical ateliers and are open about our processes. Craftsmanship is not just about skill—it’s about care, integrity, and creating pieces that will last.”

Sustainability is key.

Besides these principles, the commitment to sustainability is in the entire creation process. Mi Bolsa works with responsible European ateliers and sources LWG-certified leather to ensure materials are both high quality and ethically produced. Moreover, the design process is deliberately slow, focusing on timeless aesthetics and long-lasting structure. In fact, each bag is handcrafted in limited batches to minimise waste.

Mi Bolsa x Haus of Ra takes the night.

The collaborative runway with Haus of Ra, led by visionary designer Raahim Khan, was the highlight of the evening. Known for his boundary-pushing couture and cultural storytelling, Khan presented a capsule of ethereal looks, each styled with a Mi Bolsa handbag. The entire fashion show celebrated the intersection of bold fashion and artisan accessories, underscoring a shared belief that design should be emotionally resonant and technically curated. When asked about the partnership, Mi Bolsa’s founders praised Khan’s artistry:

“Raahim brings a unique blend of vision, authenticity, and emotional depth to everything he touches. Collaborating with creatives like Raahim allows us to expand the brand’s voice and build bridges across disciplines.”

Since its soft opening in late June, the flagship store has already garnered significant attention. Additionally, the expansion includes a new fine jewellery line featuring 14K gold pieces with natural gemstones, echoing the brand’s core values.

With the new store as a foundation, Mi Bolsa focuses on deepening its community connection. The founders envision the flagship as more than a store. It’s an immersive space where customers can engage with the story behind each piece. Looking ahead, they see the brand as part of a fresh wave of conscious luxury.

“I’m excited by the growing appreciation for quiet luxury, personal storytelling, and emotionally sustainable design,” one founder stated. “Customers are shifting toward intentional buying—choosing pieces that feel personal and purposeful. That’s where we belong.”

Having already attracted interest from major department stores, the White City flagship is just the beginning for Mi Bolsa. With London expansions planned, the brand is ready for strategic growth overseas.

Sacai x Tomo Koizumi

One of our favourite streetwear brands from Tokyo, Sacai and its creative director Chitose Abe has linked up with fellow Japanese designer Tomo Koizumi. On a truly head-turning set of organza bags. Working off of various Sacai bag silhouettes including a tote and belt bag, the bags are detailed with Koizumi’s signature ruffled tiers of colourful ombré organza.

“His ruffled creations bring joyful entertainment and I wanted to bring those to a practical level to our everyday life through the hybridization of our two styles,” Abe explained in an exchange with Vogue.

Commenting on the art of partnership, Abe explained, “For me, there needs to be a genuine connection with any collaboration I take part in, and it is always important to me that there is a balance between the two brands and a genuine interest in both sides.”

Sacai and Koizuma’s floofy bags first debuted during fall 2020 as included in the Hello Sacai pop up store initiative. 

Koizumi’s interest in fashion began from seeing his fashion-loving mother in his childhood. His encounter with the book John Galliano for Dior in his early teen was a very eye-opening event and made him decide to become a fashion designer.

His brand “TOMO KOIZUMI” was successfully launched in 2011, after a boutique owner was attracted and picked the dress – which he created while he was a university student. Ever since he earned his experiences as assistants of stylist and costume artist, and then moved on to the next career step as a costume designer.

In February 2019, his very first runway show took place in New York with the supports of the world-famous Katie Grand, Marc Jacobs, and KCD Public Relations, Inc.

Bright colours and bold silhouettes are the significant characteristics of his made-to-order collections and costumes, and celebrities and artists worldwide favour his such designs.

Playing off of the reconstruction trend, Balenciaga as lead by Demna Gvasalia takes inspiration from its super-layered Track Sneaker silhouette to create a Sneakerhead Bag. They also have a SNEAKERHEAD PHONE HOLDER WITH STRAP too!

Making use of a faux leather and mesh construction, the made-in-China bag is offered as either a top handle in a medium or large size and also a cross-body silhouette. Both silhouettes are distinguished by corset lacing on the sides and the front of the bag mimicking the lacing system of the Track Sneaker. The bags are also detailed with an upside-down Balenciaga logo and B logo hardware.
