How to Show Appreciation to Your Friends

In these difficult and challenging times, it’s safe to say we’ve all dealt with the pandemic in our own way. While some have relished in the fact they’ve been able to spend more time away from people, others, who thrive off being sociable, have struggled.

It’s more important than ever to keep in touch with those around you, from your family members far and wide, to your closest circle of friends. Whether you can see them (virtually) or live with them, it’s important to show appreciation to those we love. Here are some ways that you can show appreciation to your friends and put a smile on their face!

Send a card or gift

How to Show Appreciation to Your Friends

Handwriting a card and/or sending a gift is a great way to show them you care. You don’t have to spend a lot of money, but buying something little from places like Card Factory, is a sure fire way to show them how much you appreciate them. While the shops are closed it’s easy to buy online and get delivered straight to them, which means you don’t have to worry about wrapping and taking to the post office yourself.

Organise a virtual get together

If you don’t live together don’t worry! Thanks to the number of party apps and meeting apps available out there, it’s quick and easy to organise a virtual get together or celebration. Whether it’s just a catch up, someone’s birthday or even a baby shower or engagement party that they’ve missed out on as a result of the pandemic, getting together virtually is the new thing.

Fill up your diary with future plans

You don’t need to have a set date on them, but filling up your diaries with future plans can give you and your friends something to look forward to. It can offer the motivation we all need to get through these tough times!

Take up a hobby together

Whether you have a collective love for something or you share your personal favourites with each other, taking up a group hobby can not only give you something to do, but it can give you another reason to stay in touch with everyone. Most supplies for your hobbies can still be bought online, so why not make a list together of everything you need for your next virtual “party”.

No matter what you do, remember simply keeping in touch with your friends can make all the difference, especially with the way the world is at present.
