Grammy Awards 2021: The Best Beauty Looks On the Red Carpet

This year’s Grammy Awards looked a bit different for obvious reasons. Nonetheless, it was a night to remember. From Blue Ivy Carter being the second-youngest Grammy winner in history to each celebrity wearing masks that matched their outfits, there were no limitations when it came to shining at the Grammy Awards.

From minimalism to pure extravagance, let’s take a look at the best beauty looks from the Grammy Awards 2021.

Lizzo

Lizzo stunned with two different metallic gowns. The mint, sweetheart necklined dress was accompanied by quite a subtle bronzed base. Then, amped up with such small but dazzling touches. Not only did she rock a striking feline shaped eye and super glossy lip but if you look closely, you can see that her hair was sprinkled with silver glitter.

Oh, and would you believe that Lizzo’s ultra-glam lashes only cost £7.99? That’s right! Makeup artist, Alexx Mayo, used the Kiss Lash Couture Matte Black Faux Mink Lashes in Matte Sheer to achieve this look.

The singers second Grammy Award look still honoured her metallic theme; this time dressed in a pearlescent pink Balmain gown.

Now, soft and effortless mermaid-like waves added to her hair. In addition, three studded pink hair clips that definitely made a statement. Hairstylist, Shelby Swain, told Vogue that she randomly picked up the hair clips the same morning. Points to Swain for picking such funky and affordable pink accessories to complete the look!

Dua Lipa

Dua Lipa graced the Grammy Awards with a variety of eye-catching looks this year. Her red carpet look definitely gave off strong Cher vibes and I was totally here for it! I mean, the pin-straight, perfectly parted down the middle hairstyle screams Cher.

In addition, her intricate, crystal-covered Versace dress worked well with the twinkling lilac eyeshadow. Also, the eyeshadow matched beautifully with the array of gems on the dress.

It was all in the details for this look. Whilst the rest of Dua’s makeup was rather soft, her nails, tattoos and of course the dress did the talking. Her blue and pink butterfly themed nails done by Celebrity Nail Artist, Chaun Legend, complimented the look extremely well.

H.E.R

Eyeshadow seemed to reign supreme at this year’s Grammy Awards.

Singer and Songwriter, H.E.R. definitely shined on the red carpet.

If there’s one thing that H.E.R. is known for (other than her amazing voice) is wearing sunglasses. The circular lavender shades were a match made in heaven along with a glamorous purple and gold cut crease. Her makeup artist gave her a simple but effective terracotta lip, this paired with long loose waves, styled by Nina Monique.

Jhene Aiko

Jhene Aiko, six time nominee, opted for a pink floret, high-low ruffle gown from Monsoori.

Aiko’s makeup was flawless, as usual. Makeup artist Juanice used many affordable products to achieve this subtle golden look. To create the feline eyeliner, Juanice opted for the KVD Tattoo Waterproof Liquid Liner in black.

Furthermore, the Mac Mineralize Skin Finish in dark created the perfected bronzed/contoured look.

And of course, a Jhene look wouldn’t be complete without her baby hairs, which you can see styled to perfection above.

Doja Cat

With Doja Cat’s ever-changing beauty looks, no one could’ve predicted what her Grammy’s look would be. Needless to say, the rapper and three time nominee, turned it all the way up with a Robert Cavalli green ostrich feathered head turner!

She wore her hair in a mullet, what Allure are calling a ‘soft serve mullet’. With this being one of the new hair trends for Spring, the soft serve mullet is one that someone can do if they want to add a bit of texture and volume to the hair.

Doja upped her look even further with an incredible smoked-out black wing. Makeup artist, Ernesto Casillas, created it using the Shiseido Kajal InkArtist in 09 Nippon Noir. Whilst talking to E News about the look, he reminded us that “it’s okay to be messy, the look calls for a grungy eye” and that’s exactly what he achieved!

Billie Eilish

Next, we have none other than Billie Eilish, the winner of the record of the year award.

Billie’s makeup was kept neutral, her makeup artist, Robert Rumsey using only Milk Makeup to achieve the final look. For Billie’s eye look, Rumsey used the affordable Milk Makeup’s Colour Chalk in the shade Hopscotch. The pigmented cream shadow gave Billie a shimmery champagne wash that added a pop of glitz to her look.

As usual, no Billie Eilish look is complete these days without her super long nails. Nail artist, Tammy Taylor created a petal-pink nail set that matched with Billie’s embellished Gucci two piece, mask, and bucket hat.

Megan Thee Stallion

Megan Thee Stallion shone bright all night at the Grammy Awards this year. Not only because she is now the first female rapper to win best new artist in more than 20 years but because she looked absolutely stunning!

Her red carpet look was an elegant, strapless, tangerine, Dolce and Gabbana gown, paired with a 90’s-inspired updo and makeup look.

Meg’s go-to makeup artist, Priscialla Ono, opted for a 90’s style brown lip liner and glossy lips. Then, the eyes. The smoky brown and golden cut crease was defined with a black liner to create a feline effect. A beauty look that a lot of celebrities were seen wearing on the carpet.

Beyoncé

Last but not least, Beyoncé.

Regardless of what Beyoncé was wearing or her choice of hairstyle and makeup, she had all heads turning just by attending the Grammy Awards. Having made history by becoming the most awarded woman in Grammy’s history, she sure did have a good night and looked stunning whilst doing so.

Brushed out, honey-blonde waves created a dramatic, voluminous look. As well as this, the curls surrounding her face are seen to be kept quite uniformed which kept the look elegant.

Her makeup artist chose to go for a rather soft glam by sweeping a taupe shadow over the lid and packing a darker shade of brown onto the crease to create a smoky eye. Touches of gold were also present with Bey’s accessories. Along with a custom black, leather mini dress and sheer black tights, Beyoncé wore gloves tipped with gold nail-like features to mimic a gold manicure.
