It may only be February, but so far this year I have mastered the art of discovering unique hotels to park myself during fashion week—From New York, to Milan, Paris and London. For example, my stay at the luxuriously chic-yet-comfortable hotspot like the 25hours Hotel Terminus Nord. This stay proved to be the most ideal location for those who have to jet back to London literally after the last show of Paris Fashion Week, thanks to its proximity to the station.
As an ex-Parisienne, I know that the area might not be ideal, but if you have to leave on the first or last Eurostar then do not book a room anywhere else in the city of lights. Once you walk into the hotel, you can leave the hustle and bustle of Le Quartier at the door. The 25hours Hotel Terminus Nord has the incredible ability to transport you into an entirely different world. The diverse culture of areas the French have touched is represented in the décor of this boutique hotel made for the fashion lover and business traveller alike.
One of my favourite things about the establishment is their in-house dog. I know want a little dog. The hotel may be located in the city, but it is run like an old family establishment in the South of France. They also provide everything you need to explore and navigate the city with ease: maps, postcards and even a custom messenger bag to carry all your belongings. A big tip though, is to have a bag with a secure zipper and fastening that keeps your things safe. As unfortunately, Paris is known for having pick pockets.
As colourful as an African bazaar: a cosmopolitan mix of cultures and urban refuge at Gare du Nord
Ther moto ride it like you stole it.
We’re absolutely convinced: the best way to explore Paris is on wheels and in heels. That’s Parisienne style, the streets are full of cobblestones and that is the only way you can wear heels to work by riding a bike. At the hotel, they have bikes available from Schindelhauer. Siegfried, Ludwig, Viktor or Lotte are available for a leisurely bike tour through the neighbourhood. Also provided, are tour maps of the most charming routes around the city, curated by bike professionals especially for the 25hours guest. Visitors can also explore the area with a test drive on four wheels thanks to a collaboration with MINI.
The colourful world of cultures lives in the midst of the 10th district. Here, opposite the central Gare du Nord train station, you find the 25hours Hotel Terminus Nord, which embodies the culture of the people walking down the street in le arrondissements.
The design agency Dreimeta collaborated with the Parisian team Visto Images to encapsulate the hustle and bustle of the 10th Arrondissement: A playful hodgepodge of vibrant, colourful wall murals in street-art style.
The rooms are relaxing retreats with colour schemes and designs inspired by Africa and Asia.
The Neni restaurant with its Israeli-Mediterranean cuisine and the Sape Bar with it’s large counter and leather armchairs form the pulsing heart of the house. The reception on the ground floor is reminiscent of a French kiosk and is available to both guests and locals for any requests, questions, or anything unusual you may need.
You can get lost in the hotel and wander the different hideaways. It is a great place for a morning or night of Instagrammable moments. For instance, wake up for a lavish breakfast, have racy cocktails, dinner with the family the night before that early train. I love the fact that you won’t have to rush to get to the train.
The location is everything to me especially when you travel light. Only my favourite sneakers, a pair of jeans and a top along with some comfy luxe ones from Onepiece The perfect outfit to hang out in the hotel in and sleep in my comfy bed. I was looking forward to catching up on my French TV.
We highly recommend booking a room at this charming hotel. The staff is lovely and fluent in many languages. Service was always given with a smile and the utmost professionalism, eager to give recommends and help their guests get around the city. My room had a view of my favourite place in Paris, Le Sacre Coeur. This trip, 25hours Hotel Terminus Nord helped me to fall in love with Paris again.
