Menswear is a major player in the fashion game if you haven’t noticed, and now the men’s collections are becoming more creative, surprisingly, and have this little “je ne sais quoi” that keeps us focused on emerging brands and old favorites. We are not only talking about clothes, but about the whole shebang of the atmosphere at fashion shows: from the hairstyles of the models, to the inspirations of each designer for their collection. In any case, you won’t be bored or annoyed by a men’s collection – and these are one of the several reasons why I prefer menswear to womenswear. What is also interesting is when the designers update traditional pieces to give us a new take on them; even more interesting is when they try to add women’s pieces to the men’s collections. Sometimes it can be not appreciated, but most of the time we like it. Personally, I’m still discovering new interests in menswear, especially from the avant-gardiste designers and brands – I don’t need to profess my love for Margiela, Galliano does it well, and we all know it. But let’s return to the women’s pieces, which are susceptible to invade our men’s wardrobe next summer, there are more and more women’s pieces in menswear collections come to stores this season. It is not ONLY the story of the rise of the men skirt, no it’s not. It’s bigger than this…

Today I want to talk about Spring/Summer 2016 men’s fashion trend which in fact, reveals itself like one of the biggest women’s trend in fashion: the colour nude and transparent fabrics. In particular, the translucent nude top! Fit cuts. Very light fabrics. Sometimes sleeveless, and in vivid colours. You better be a fit guy and even a slim one, if you are going to wear it next summer. I warn you. The translucent nude top gives t men a kind of a male femininity, which underlines the beauty of the male body, his torso, his pectoral muscles, and the shy lines of his abs. All of the things all women want their man to have. But do not think I was only starring at the male model bodies during the shows… I repeat, it’s a translucent nude tops, and this means that you see what is under the top. Obviously. (It was the same for women, you could see beautiful breast late Fall Winter 14). Viewed at LC:M and at the Paris Men’s Fashion Week too, it was like the designers were talking together before introducing their collections. The translucent nude top is one of next summers hit piece that you need to have!
