TIDAL X: New York’s Finest Raise Funds for Hurricane and Earthquakes Victims Highlights
I live abroad and pay for Tidal! If you are like me you were sitting with your laptop or other device anticipating the Tidal X concert. As an American living abroad I filter my news and sometimes a music streaming system can bring you what the people are really listening to on the streets. A stellar lineup of music legends, including JAY-Z, Jennifer Lopez, Stevie Wonder and DJ Khaled, raise funds for victims of Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma, Hurricane Maria and the Mexico earthquakes with their performance at the annual TIDAL X: Brooklyn concert event. Why who else was going to do?
TIDAL X: Brooklyn concert JAY-Z, Jennifer Lopez, Stevie Wonder, DJ Khaled and More Raise
Brooklyn was definitely in the house with its heavy populated Latin and Caribbean roots in the hood. The annual TIDAL X Brooklyn event brings together incredible performers in an effort to raise awareness and funds for organizations that support relief and recovery for those affected by the unprecedented natural disasters. This year’s concert was hosted by Angie Martinez and includes JAY-Z, Jennifer Lopez, Stevie Wonder, DJ Khaled, Chris Brown, Kaskade, Iggy Azalea, Cardi B, Fat Joe, Remy Ma, Daddy Yankee, Yo Gotti, A$AP Ferg, Vic Mensa, Fifth Harmony, Joey Bada$$, Willow Smith, Belly, Jessie Reyez, Mack Wilds, Machel Montano, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Mr. Eazi, Charly Black, Princess Nokia, Tee Grizzley, Rapsody, Kranium, Chloe x Halle, Cipha Sounds, Victory and more with special appearances by Rosie Perez and Lin-Manuel Miranda. 100% of all ticket sales will benefit organizations helping those affected by Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma, Hurricane Maria, and the earthquakes that have affected Mexico over the last few weeks.
The event is proudly sponsored by BACARDĺ, who is committed to supporting communities impacted including Puerto Rico, Florida, the Caribbean, Mexico and The Bahamas – all areas which are considered home to the brand and to its operations, offices, and employees. In response to the damage caused by the hurricanes and earthquakes, the brand has firmly committed over $4.3 million in donations to relief agencies supporting the communities impacted.
BACARDĺ and TIDAL X Brooklyn will join Governor Andrew M. Cuomo’s Empire State Relief and Recovery Effort for Puerto Rico by covering the cost of cargo planes desperately needed to transport donated goods (i.e., cleaning supplies, toiletries, canned food, clothing, etc.) to Puerto Rico. Artists will also participate in a public awareness campaign to encourage New Yorkers to donate goods and money to help the people of Puerto Rico recover.
We loved to share a few of the highlights. Another reason to join Tidal to see them up close and personal.
