Thick Thursday: Swimsuits For All

As the heat rolls in, curvy woman get more and more scared of having to go to a pool or beach. The dreaded “swimsuit season”. Some may say they’re too lazy to get their “Swimsuit Bodies” in shape, but we all love our bodies and treat them with care and whatever we are left with we have to embrace. So ladies, instead of dreading swimsuit season, let’s embrace our bodies. I’m here to help with some of the best and stylish swimsuits including some personal favorites.

This all started with the photos recently released by Swimsuits for All which features Ashley Graham, Teyana Taylor, and Niki Taylor. The pictures are below and I think it shows that all women no matter what color or size can rock the same bathing suit and all look amazing.

One pieces

Instead of having to worry about those terrible swim dresses, why don’t we instead try something a little more sexy and revealing. There are so many great one pieces that you can chose from. My advice is to go for something high cut to elongate your legs and not cut you at an unflattering angle. My favourite is the
American Apparel high rise Tricot (which I have in 2 colours). It’s super sexy and very cheeky so you can show off your curves. If you do have a larger bust and want more support, I recommend the Seafolly Ocean Rose Maillot swimsuit. If you’ve never heard of this Australian swimsuit brand, and want a nice and supportive bathing suit, I definitely recommend this brand.

2 Pieces

The most dreaded words put together, but trust me ladies you can look smoking. The key to a good 2 piece is to make sure to get one that doesn’t cut into you. Soft materials and making sure is the right size is super important. I also usually like to go for something a little more high cut again to accentuate the legs and bring some attention to your waist. Although high waist bottoms are a good way to keep you more covered. I love a strappy side that doesn’t cut in. My favourite options are the Mase and Mia Swimsuit from Myra Swim. I really recommend Myra Swim because they are affordable, yet amazing quality. They have all different types of styles and the fabric is seamless.
