How did you discover your crafts?
When I was growing up, my siblings and I were always allowed to be creative, so we made paintings, sewed, knitted, took photos, drew, whatever we could to have fun! So I think I always was destined to do something creative.
Print or Online Magazines Pros & Cons?
I used to be a print magazine junky, and I used to have two subscriptions a month, but that got to be too much. So I stopped buying a print magazine and went over to online magazine because they are easier to get right away. Plus it’s more sustainable!
Tell us about your client base & fashion journey?
Our clients are playful and colourful creative people that either work in something artistic or has creativity as a hobby. Our clients love to be sustainable and take care of the world, as well as themselves. The Kepaza woman is not in a specific age, and it is more about the way she is and likes to dress. She loves clothes that can be worn all day.

What made you want to create pieces for your client demographic?
My principal told me that I draw a lot of geometrical shapes on my clothes, and that is one of my strong points, something I should focus on. So after that, I continued to do more geometrical shapes. I grew up with a creative mum that loved painting colourful paintings, so colours and prints are in my blood.
Where were you when you found out that you wanted to be a fashion designer?
I was around 13 when I found out it actually was possible to be a fashion designer and I decided to go for the dream.
What has been your favourite career moment so far?
My favourite career moment so far has to be my first show with Kepaza, and it was at New York fashion week. I was asked to show at NYFW on Instagram 6 months earlier, and I was so excited, nervous and so ready! This was my moment.
What is your signature design?
My signature design is that all my designs have some sort of geometrical shapes and/or lines.
What valuable lesson did you learn from working in fashion?
The most important lesson I have learned is that you have to be the driving force. You have to create your dream and work so hard to accomplish it.
What do you want your designer footprint to be?
I want to bring positivity and happiness. I want people to put on my garments, smile and have a better day. So much in life is hard and grey and I want to remind us to be happy where we are and to go for what we want that day.
Who is your dream to collaborate with?
There are so many talented and amazing ladies around the world I would love to work with, but if I would pick one it has to be Gigi Hadid. She is so playful, cool, hard-working and stunning.
What is your must-have on the road beauty/grooming product?
I am quite simple in my daily routine; I always have to have good mascara from Estee Lauder, concealer from Maybelline, body lotion from Biotherm and shampoo and conditioner from Maroccan Oil.
What Norwegian style is in your collections?
My clean lines are from Norwegian styles, and the colours are not mixed together, but cleanly and simply.
What are you up to when you’re not creating?
When I am not creating, I am hanging out with my friends and family, I go out to have fun, and I love watching sports, especially Handball. I also go swimming in an indoor swimming hall or go for a walk. I love to travel and see the world.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
I see my self with a husband, kids, and still being the boss and designer of Kepaza. And I hope we are more successful and have my clothes are worn by women all over the world, and they love them. I am also hoping that the world is more colourful and our environment is getting healthier.
After interviewing and playing around with the clothes from the brand it all came together. One of the biggest fashion trends for Spring Summer 2020 has fun with fashion again. The pieces I chose to wear were wearable ad every day ready. The mint green romper saved the day when all I wanted was to be fashionably comfortable.
Like Pernille Fristad intended she wanted to produce garments that every woman could feel comfortable in. What I really appreciated was that the pieces were great to travel with and take care of. The added value she creates sustainable and consciousness clothing that is like casual wear artwork.
