It is so hard to not put on a little weight in the next few weeks. Living in between Paris and London makes it impossible not to cheat in the afternoon. When in London one of my favourite things to do is go for afternoon tea. This week we treated ourselves to Burlington Arcade Afternoon Tea for the Holidays in London at the Four Season!
The only problem is finding a friend who wants to indulge in naughty treats like, champagne, finger foods and tiny delicious cakes. Well if you are looking to dress up in the afternoon this holiday season and be naughty, then we have a new afternoon tea for you to check out at the Four Seasons Park Lane.
Following a year of exclusive collections, installations, events and special-edition product launches commemorating this very special year, a quintessentially British dining experience has been created by Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane, which resides just a short walk away.
Walking the historic halls of the world-famous arcade with Head Burlington Beadle Mark Lord, Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane Head Pastry Chef, David Oliver has created five bespoke cakes inspired by its luxury heritage, architecture, British charm, and uniqueness. The afternoon tea takes you on a sensorial taste journey, which mirrors the visual journey one would take through the jewellery, watch, fragrance, fashion, beauty and home-wear boutiques. The innovative Burlington Afternoon Tea pastries include:
London’s oldest shopping arcade, in the heart of Mayfair, is celebrating its 200th Anniversary this year. The luxury shopping destination houses a host of premium and luxury brands such as Atkinsons 1799, Strathberry and Frédéric Malle, who have created limited edition products, exclusive to the arcade, to mark the special occasion.
Burlington Arcade Afternoon Tea
Why not treat yourself to a delicious Afternoon Tea in elegant surroundings at Four Seasons Park Lane? Set in the heart of Mayfair, this 5-star hotel provides a luxurious Traditional Afternoon Tea experience for guests to enjoy. We had a blast and it took away our winter blues.
Afternoon Tea is served in the Amaranto Lounge, elegant space perfect to while away the afternoon and indulge in a delicious range of treats. The champagne made us silly and hungry. We ate as much as we could and took home a doggy bag for later. It was too much for us to eat in one sitting.
Afternoon Tea for the Holidays in London
The Burlington Afternoon Tea is designed to mirror the luxurious visual experience of strolling through the arcade past the jewellery, watch, fragrance, fashion, beauty and home-wear boutiques. Set on iconic Park Lane, this Four Seasons is located just a short walk away from Hyde Park Corner Tube station.
Nibble on light blueberry cheesecake modelled as a Burlington Beadle the arcade’s very own private police force. Or the Burlington Battenberg – reflecting the iconic marble floor of Burlington Arcade, this Victorian classic sliced chocolate and bergamot cake is wrapped with this geometric statement pattern. Amongst other arcade-inspired pastries that have been expertly crafted to reflect two centuries of luxury.
The tea launched recently and will be available until the end of the year. In the weeks before Christmas, they will also add a twist.
Come eat with us and follow on Instagram to find out where we will be next. Happy Holiday!
