One brand we discovered this Summer 2019 was ASPIGA an Ethical Holiday Wardrobe staple This summer the Style Cartel has been on a hot girl summer tour to sunny holiday destinations. They provided all the summer essentials we need for trips to the beach, resting poolside, sightseeing in town or a chill evening out.

Beachwear And Fashion To Take On a Sunny Holiday
Over the past few years, we have changed the way we buy Fashion and ASPIGA fits into this new DNA of garments we want to wear. The brand is ethical, wearable and comfortable. Aspiga was born out of the founder, Lucy’s, love for travelling.
Twelve years ago, Lucy Macnamara fell in love with the craftsmanship she discovered while on holiday in Kenya. Awestruck by the beautiful hand-beaded sandals she found the locals making, she knew that she had found something extraordinary.
We agree you will not know until you wear a pair. They fit like a glove and stand up to touristic day and evening outings.

Ethical trading is at the heart of the business, working with beautiful suppliers in small factories, giving much-needed jobs to local people. Lucy regularly visits the small suppliers and workers to maintain their healthy and stable relationship. From hand-beaded sandals and belts to Masai inspired jewellery and accessories.

These sandals were my most coveted pieces from the collection we took on the road with us. The fantastic thing about their sandals is that we did not get one blister or bunion when we wore them — not even the first time.

The Lola embroidered cotton kaftan fits in my everyday modest fashion wardrobe. It was a lovely dress for a dinner at the Cotton Beach Club | Ibiza Leisure Hotspot For Sunset Views. The mood and atmosphere at the restaurant complimented the look exceptionality.
It is the end of summer now and these pieces can still come along on our end of summer holiday’s and runs to the market in our neighbourhood. I feel so Southern French at the moment in them.
Designed in London and Handmade in Kenya and India

All of the sandals went well with swimsuits, jeans & T-shirt looks and summer dresses. With matching, handbags and tote bags we were ready in minutes every day. No-fuss looks that women of all ages groups complimented us on the shoes, bags, accessories and clothing.

This day outfit was complete with multi-coloured sandals to tie in all the colours. While comfortably walking in a pair of Likoni Sandals sandals became my daily routine.

For every pair of sandals sold, they pledge to collect one basket of plastic from the beaches in Kenya. They support cleaning up the plastic from the Malindi beach in Kenya. They give back by also supporting Restart Africa, an orphanage for vulnerable children in Northern Kenya.
Dedication like this encourages us to wear their sandals as much as we can. If I personally had a £ for every time someone complimented me on a pair we could would have a lot to donate to an organization they support. Even our girlfriends asked about the sandals and handbags. We have good eyes and hearts, so I guess we are on to something here.

We want to put our money where our mouth is like ASPIGA and support emerging brands like this one. The company works with artisans, non-profit groups, tribal groups and small family run business where they employ local women and men, which enables them to support helping to fight poverty through trade.
ASPIGA Ethical Holiday Wardrobe
The brand is turning influencers like us into educated consumers. In addition to keeping alive the traditions and craftsmanship of the ancestors. By educating us on where our pieces are coming from and how to care for them.
The clothes and accessories are made to pack lightly, avoid ironing, wash less often, suitable for cold water washes, and repairable. If you travel as much as we do, then you understand how important these factors are. The line is also affordable and supports good causes, which makes it even more extra special to wear and buy.
The Palm Tree Jute Beach Bag keeps our looks French in the city. They are cute enough for walks, with compartments for all your gadgets. With enough space to pick up some legumes on the way back to your villa or apartment.

When you are changing your fashion attitude and style to wearing garments that are sustainable Fashion, then we found another great brand to stand behind. Sustainable Fashion is a part of a growing movement that SC stands with, and so does ASPIGA.
They are proud to be a socially conscious brand, environmentally and ethically. Who encourage sustainable production and consumption. Then next time you are going on a sunny holiday, why not pack a piece of ASPIGA. We are sure you will love whatever you chose.
We are booking another end of summer holiday again, and Aspiga will be in our suitcases still. Scroll through our Instagram if you need some style tips. Happy End of summer, the ethical fashion way with ASPIGA Beach love is for you. Designed in London and handmade in Kenya and India.
