Seductive, provocative and ultra-sexy….the three words describing the hottest collaboration of the season. International style Icon and queen of burlesque, Dita Von Teese is thrilled to unveil an exclusive collaboration with Christian Louboutin, XXXtian, as part of her Autumn /Winter 2014 Dita Von Teese lingerie collection.
Based on the burlesque star’s “Tulip” range which was initially launched in a Bettie Page inspired leopard print, XXXtian features a custom silk toile print that was developed by Christian Louboutin for some of his shoes and handbags in the SS11 season. Within the toile there is imagery of Dita perched in her gilded birdcage burlesque prop, dancing with her glorious feather fans, and even being fitted for custom Louboutin fetish boots.
The XXXtian collection offers a complete range of styles to compliment the most discerning lingerie connoisseurs: an underwire bra, corselette, garter belt, thong, bikini, and high-‐waisted brief. XXXtian is also the first Dita Von Teese lingerie style that has expanded into glamorous loungewear pieces including two elegant chemises and a luxurious robe.
“Christian and I have been dear friends for years, and he has created many custom pairs of shoes for my burlesque shows. When this toile originally appeared in his shoe and handbag collection, I was honoured to have such a tribute,” said Dita Von Teese. “I’m so thrilled that he generously allowed me to offer this risqué print in luscious Italian silk in my ‘Tulip’ collection plus a glamorous 1940’s style negligée and dressing gown for the ultimate luxury lingerie experience,” she said.
As Louboutin says, “the Toile de Jouy is the essence of French 18th century feminine sophistication. No one can be closer to a modern Marie-‐Antoinette than Dita, her curves and wit celebrated on a canvas dedicated to adorn either a shoe or divine lingerie.”
The XXXtian collection is available exclusively at MYER at MYER.com.au and for global shipping online at glamuse.com this holiday season.
