It is already July and time to think about Autumn/Winter 2016-17. Today’s Sunday Style we reveal the Gucci Autumn/Winter 2016-17 advertising campaign, shot by Glen Luchford.
Gucci Autumn/Winter 2016-17 7 Advertising Campaign
The video reminds me of parties my family use to have back in the day. Everyone came over for good food, friends and a little dancing. Gucci found a natural focus for its autumn/winter campaign in the eccentric subcultures of Tokyo.
Tokyo’s bold character offers a kinetic meeting of the traditional and the hyper-modern. As the tribe of Gucci kids gives itself up to the chaotic lights and sounds of the city, it wanders from tea houses to pachinko parlours with carefree abandon.
The ongoing dialogue between the traditional and the modern – between calm and chaos – that characterises this vibrant place creates a psychedelic assault on the senses that is echoed beautifully in the vivacity of Creative Director Alessandro Michele’s creations.
The new advertising campaign will run in your favorite glosses and digital-zines starting in July.
