Qbic Hotel London Review | Our Favorite Eco-friendly Luxury Hotel

Travel Tuesday | Our Favorite Eco-friendly Luxury Hotel

Over the Spring holiday I headed to London to find a few hotels that are at bit Luxury, Eco, and idyllic for a business traveler on a budget.  I decided to explore the East of London  to check in to the Qbic Hotel located 42 Adler Street London E1 1EE. United Kingdom.

The hotel claims to be the greenest hotel in London.  Reason why we wanted to check it out.

The minute we walked in we felt at home.  The decor and atmosphere were welcoming, eco friendly and early adopter ready.  No code for the wifi, just connect and check in on Foursquare and Instagram, we wanted everyone to know where we were.

The staff welcomed us with a smile, and reminded us that we had a late checkout and breakfast was included. Yet, we were more intrigued by the decor of the hotel. It was so cool, with guitars in the elevator.  My partner in crime wanted to play a few notes while on the way to our room.

When we entered our sleeping arrangements for the next two days we were happy and did not want to leave.  The room was huge, with all sorts of things to play with!  The Room was like a playground for kids, but fun enough for grownups.

It made us smile from cheek to cheek.   That’s what travel blogging is all about, making our readers beam through our adventures.  The Qbic hotel will definitely make you smile.

Qbic is the result of a lot of thinking, debating and sketching out of what a city hotel could be; one that breaks the rules and makes clients happy.  They broke all the rules, and it works from easy check in and check out, so a lovely staff who’s always on hand to help with a grin and maybe a joke too.

The developers had travelers like us in mind when they decided to create a new type of Eco-friendly luxury hotel.  They believed that  astonishing level of change had swept through the world over the last few years. But the hotel experience is no different than it’s ever been: stuffy, over-priced and lacking soul. Qbic set out to change all that they have the sauce and the soul.

They’re curious, imaginative and friendly, and they thought there were lots of people just like them seeking a hotel with personality in the middle of the city. They were totally right and we are definitely those people.  We might have found a new crash pad on our frequent trips to London.

Our stay at the hotel was magnificent, it was like being in the city, but feeling like you’re in the country.  Once we entered our room it was like we were in a different place, like in the countryside. A place that celebrates life rather than sucks life out of it.

A hotel that’s built on creativity and a belief that you don’t have to accept the conventional. Somewhere that sends you away with fun stories and ideas, and is easy on your pocket. The hotel checked all the boxes for us.

They do not leave any detail unturned, and keep within their brand ethics.  I loved all the reminders that were more like pop art on the walls, in the elevator and even in the shower.  They reminded us of how precious water is.  As well as our responsibilities to the planet.

As you know I have been living and eating healthy for the past two years.  Now let’s get to the hotel breakfast. All I can say is yummy, and if you looking for a night after breakfast, they supply it with a healthy buffet alternatives,  but do not come here looking for greasy spoon food.

Breakfast is a little retro which is so cool, and healthy.  You will not have to go looking for a juice boost.  They have a full menu or fresh squeezed juices, to get ready for the important business meeting your having in the hotel, or your day of seeing the sights in London. There is actually a lot of choices and you can still have your beans and toast if that is what you are craving.  You can also have a breakfast brian storming meeting with you team in an of the large tables in the dinning area.

This hotel is ideal on a Sunday where you can head to Brick Lane Market to rub shoulders with the locals, try some of the best street food and vintage shopping all in one place. If you are worried that the location might be too party central, don’t.

Once in your room, you do not hear a thing, not even your neighbours.  If you need a coffee in the night, or a hot chocolate there are machines on every floor. We did not want to leave this hotel.  It was so us, hip, eco, luxury and affordable. The Rooms are your clever, cosy crash pads when in London, with Hi speed Wifi.

They have designed the  perfect hotel room, well for me at least.  Beautiful, sustainably built, affordable and the comfiest room in the city. It was hard to leave even with a late checkout. One of the best and funniest place I have stayed in London. Thank you for having us Qbic, we will be back soon.  We hope to catch an in house exhibition or two.
