FASHION EAST ANNOUNCES LINEUP PLUS SPECIAL GUEST FOR AW18
FASHION EAST ANNOUNCES NEW DESIGNER LINEUP FOR AW18. Fashion month is about to be in full swing. With a roster of the new fashion designers to watch for.
They have announced the four designer brands showcasing at its London Fashion Week catwalk show in February 2018. ASAI and Supriya Lele return and will be joined by runway-newcomer Charlotte Knowles. Completing the lineup is special guest Symonds Pearmain who will make their London catwalk debut. Fashion East will present the designers’ new collections in a group show on Sunday 18 February at the Topshop show space.
Fashion East Founder and Director Lulu Kennedy MBE: “This may be our most provocative and definitely my favorite line up ever. Each talent has a unique cultural and intellectual perspective visible in their work, they are informing and moving industry conversations forward. The addition of our very special guests Symonds Pearmain, with their instantly necessary clothes and excitingly relevant discourses, is a real honor and of course, very fun.”
Selected by the Fashion East team and industry panel, the awarded designers each receive a bespoke programme of support and expertise in addition to London Fashion Week showcasing opportunities, financial sponsorship, business mentoring and inclusion in a leading Paris sales showroom.
The new generation of designers join the ranks of Fashion East’s alumni which includes: JW Anderson, Craig Green, Simone Rocha, Marques’Almeida, Roksanda Ilincic, Jonathan Saunders, Ashley Williams, Wales Bonner, Gareth Pugh, Richard Malone, Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY, Matty Bovan, Claire Barrow, Kim Jones and more.
I am really interested in what FASHION EAST and the likes of Symonds Pearmain and Charlotte Knowles will bring to the catwalk. I hope more wearable provocative collections.

To me, Paris Fashion Week is still one of the best fashion weeks to discover emerging talent like Wendy Jim. WENDY JIM showed their Fall/Winter 2018.19 collection in Paris on Tuesday, March 6th. The brand showed us that luxury streetwear and cool rain gear is still the pieces to have in your wardrobe.
Fashion week for me is not about the big shows. You can go somewhere else to read about what amazing things come down the runway or check back when we post the lookbook. We love to find emerging designers like Incheval Pampa by Sofia Achaval de Montaigu & Lucila Sperber.
The WHAT WE WEAR show is one of my treasured shows to attend during London’s Fashion Weeks Menswear shows. I have a passion for sportswear and hope the trend stays around. This season the team behind WHAT WE WEAR with the creative mind of TINIE TEMPAH paid homage to the everyday worker uniform.
