Stylish Me on Fashion Friday
In 2018 Style Cartel has gone through a few changes good and bad. I personally am not a selfie girl, cannot take one for my life. I am in the awkward girl group and posting my looks seems weird even though I love fashion and can style the next girl. Social media has put an impact on how fashion journalist like myself walk, talk, dress and eat.
Our lives are always on camera these days.
As 2018 comes to a close there are big changes in my life which have taken me on a quest to be more stylish, but stay me. How was I going to change my look at little? My new adventures also demand that I look sharp as one of the key components.
My own personal style goes from sexy to modest dressing. How was I going to mix and match the style? I am not the only fashionista who changed her look dramatically.
Awkward Fashionista Diaries
Nowadays changing your look on social media comes with comments from your fans. Change your hair, wear a hijab, or take it off cause controversy online. In my looks, I test them all because I want to see what our audience says.
We have joined the e-bay fashion revolution which helps in the pursuit of working on my style moving forward. One of my favourite things to do is mix high end with high street retailers too. My motto is you don’t always have to break the bank to look good.
Rule 1, vintage shopping is a must to save for a few key designer pieces. My other rule is never to wear a complete look of any label except if it is a tracksuit. This is key when you travel Addidas and Juicy Couture are all-time favourites.
With not much time in my day these days I tend to shop online, even for sunglasses. I cross my fingers and hope the shape I chose fits my face. Here I am channelling the old school J-Lo vibes with a pair of Chloé sunglasses.
My only problem with my high waisted pyjama pants is the wrinkles. I am a busy woman but simply adore them. Next purchase a steamer to keep them babes crisp.
Another problem I have is I like fashion trends, but not the high price for the designer ones. Here is where I cheat a little and find the budget fashionista items to get the look. The high street has made me fall in love with spunky trendy footwear.
The high street has also made me cherish high wasted pants. I feel I have found the key piece for work and play style change. Easy to look professional in and ready for an after work meet up.
