SC: Ballerina turned Model! Tell us about why you stopped dancing.

KZ: Dancing was always an important part of my life. When I was 12 years old I knew that I wanted to be a professional dancer. But along with that dream came a lot of rejection. Not just from others but mostly from myself. I got so fixated on what I wanted to improve about myself that I forgot to enjoy dancing. Every class I was looking in the mirror and I saw every flaw. It took 6 years to realize that hating on every imperfection didn’t make me a better dancer, it made me a miserable one. Along with that came several injuries and I decided for myself that I needed to close this part of my life. I was already scouted several times by different modeling agencies in the Netherlands and after several shoots I noticed that I felt good in front of a camera. I decided to take a gap year to try and model full time. Now I deal with rejection almost on a weekly basis (some periods even on a daily basis), but instead of looking what is wrong about me I started to look what is right about me. People say the modeling world is hard, but the dancing world makes it seem like a kindergarten.

SC: Any music artists you recommend?

KZ: FKJ, Kali Uchis, Billie Eillish

SC: What are you up to when you’re not modeling?

KZ:  If I’m not modeling I like to get lost in big cities and long walks that let me see beautiful things so I can appreciate them.

SC: Where do you see yourself in few years?
KZ: On top of the world 🔥

SC: If you had an investor what would you invest your money in?
KZ: Vintage designer clothes & accessories

SC: In what city would you settle?
KZ: From the cities I’ve been so far I would say London. But I think eventually New York.

SC: Who’s your favorite designer?
KZ: Streetstyle wise Balenciaga & Gucci.. Haute Couture I would have to say Dior & Givenchy. I love Givenchy especially because I’m a major Audrey Hepburn fan.

SC: Runway or Commercial?
KZ: I love both. Runway gives you that special feeling of showing off someones work that worked very hard for it and that feels amazing. But some Commercial jobs give you the possibility to see gorgeous places.
